right, thats why i keep getting these stupid people who cant flash Charybdis, dodge meteors or hide for ecliptic meteor.
@Nathan Borrero the 3 things i mentioned happen in every hunt i try. if it was "just someone" doing 1 of these things i wouldnt have commented the way i did. they have zero clue what to do when charybdis is cast resulting in charybdis being cast anywhere but the sides of the room, they keep fighting behemoth when ecliptic meteor is casts (especially in the final area because they still dont know its a damn suicide bomb), and when a normal meteor is being cast they goof out and stop working or something because dodging is not something they are doing
The key thing is to learn from your defeats.
Git gud. Faster. Better. Stronger.
Any monster in this game has his own gameplay. You just need to overcome it and win.
The noobs today will get stronger tomorrow. Remember the time you had just the hunter armor and need to farm honey and stones.

@@BlackVogel1 Not what the difficulty means. FFXIV dungeons/trials/raids are broken down into "difficulties" based on the level. Dungeons are broken down into Normal and Hard, trials are broken down into Normal, Hard, and Extreme, and raids are broken down into Normal, Savage, and Ultimate. It usually just ups the level (and therefore stats) of the enemies and/or boss, and can also add more phases and mechanics to the fight. Higher difficulty, better rewards.
@@SylvaGardenia Bit of clarification, Ultimates are typically an optional super difficult fight that although offers no actual gear with actual stats, they do offer cosmetic weapons based on whichever Ultimate fight you manage to complete.
If you mount Behemoth but don't do anything apart from move from part to part avoid getting knocked off, it will disable it's ability to cast spells, which is incredibly handy, makes the fight much more bearable
MW8 Gaming if you stay on too long in second phase he'll cast ecliptic meteor as soon as you get off and there will be no cover. You can still jump to avoid it but just be weary of relying too heavily on the mount technique
@@Skarlet_Sun I've actually never had that experience, as soon as one of my team got off after the ground members knocked it down, it started a barrage of comets one after another and then did meteor, as far as I'm aware, the fight still has to follow a script of attack patterns before doing the finale and then moving on

Cokeboy53 It happened to us way often with Extreme Behemoth though. We guessed that since Phase 1 has two comets, when we go over the damage threshold he summons another comet that was meant for Phase 2. As a result he would only summon one comet on Phase 2 or none at all
So I don't reccomend the mount cheese with Extreme Behemoth. However becareful, with normal Behemoth the same is also true. Going over the damage threshold he's likely to summon a Comet immediately after phase 1. If a player happens to still be in the 1st area the comet might fall there.

I just realized that the reason the names pops up when they attack the Behemoth with something besides the base attack is because that's how it is in FFXIV; you get the skill name along with the damage you inflict, along with an ! with larger font/numbers if it's a critical or italicized if it's a direct hit, both if it's a critical direct hit
I loved that they put the chocobo song in the fight with the crystal. It fits so well when he keeps running away and your chasing him with a line of barroth and any chasing you both
I love when u beat the Behemoth but one person dies by the comet and u lose
Vespurr I remember one time fighting him, we all hid behind a Comet next to Behemoth, not knowing when he went back to being on all fours we would be knocked into the comet as he died and lose.

If you guys want you can look up builds to keep you on behemoths back for like six minutes while the rest of the team does dps. He doesn't fight back while your on top. I believe it's mainly lunestra.

saaame, even though i’m as bad as the randoms (only fought him once and had no clue what i was doing because i had a long hiatus due to problems) now that i’m back i just feel like there’s no chance for me to kill him regardless.

If yall still trying randos nowadays know the fight better generally and i managed to clear it a few days back a few times and got the Drachen set in preparation for Iceborne, if any of you need help i can help out on PS4, just dont give up and join Quests with higher ranked peeps only, like 50s at least, good hunting folks

I love how one my most hardest hunts in the monster hunter franchise isn't even a monster hunter original. I'm talking about extreme behemoth specifically, bro isn't even from monster hunter and decided to take the spot as one of the hardest monsters to fight against.

Just a note for when you try to dodge ecliptic meteor: use the jump emote just as Behemoth's starts to drop.

It's tough because people are too stupid or stubborn to use more defensive builds, that and some people still don't know how to fight him. I will say he does actually get pretty challenging in the final phase regardless of builds.
Yeah, that last phase is absolutely ridiculous, he has like 1 second's worth of startup on attacks and at least twice the health of the other 3 phases. Nothing more disheartening then to see the "Slayed" Icon right after you fail the quest because of his meteor on death. It's not even the meteor that I mind, the comets just break too easy.
That little shared evil laugh they have... I can almost envision them rubbing their hands together as a secret agent is handcuffed to a giant superlaser.

I was on the second meteor but there was only comet surrounded by tornados(wind attack) so all four of us died to the meteor or trying to get to the comet which was impossible. Killed the nightmare twice but im planning to get everything so i got a lot of failing to do. Got the full set of armour just need the palico weapon, upgraded version or the glaive and kinsect

behemoth is the akuma of monster hunter world. he does air hadoukens, hurricanes kick your ass when they are spammed, and he Kongou Kokuretsu Zan is the ecliptic meteor i can't wait for cyber akuma armor in this game

FYI Ecliptic Meteor can hit you in the base camp
Ended up making a healer set with wide-range lvl 5 in order to carry the randoms through it. Thankfully it works great, going to do the same for extreme Behemoth.
Can't kill him but I got his armor so it was worth it

That jump needs to be timed PERFECTLY. When you see behemoth starting to free fall from his hind legs, right after the casting phase, that's when you jump

The music is in the game. I've had to disable the music because the same exact verse of the ff14 theme plays over and over an I can't beat behemoth because I'm stuck with randos as I have no friends who play this.

I FINALLY got in a group that got him down, and with only one cart. I ran with max wide range and it made it pretty bearable.

These days getting a group that wont get knocked out is easy it was tough back in mh on the psp no internet only on ps2 but not many players
