Great singing and great acting. Mr. MacNeil lives the role of Rigoletto. I saw him as Scarpia in the late 1970s. There was a gravitas to his performance which was captivating.

He's the quintessential Rigoletto. No one ever came close to his wonderful interpretation. Others were great. But Cornell WAS this character.
Wow. Low notes and color to beat most basses, high notes of a tenor, volume of two people singing at once, and it’s so easy.
