He is now in Heaven with all of the deceased Japanese Actors and Actresses, one of them is Miyuki Kanbe. Koji-kun may no longer be on Earth, but his songs are in deepest memory, all thanks to Digimon
He passed away two days after singing this version for digimon tri, is like was his last wish. He was feeling really bad but gathered all his last energy to do it. 😥
High key, I love this rendition. It's got this feeling of nostalgia and comfort, the perfect way to open Tri: it was called Reunion not just because the chosen children were reunited with their partners, but because WE were reunited with them. This rendition feels like we're being greeted as an old friend.
English versions regularly mess it up, Koji expresses it up perfectly. Everything is falling apart, and I'm getting weak, but my love is still strong enough to lift us up with my broken wings. Rest in peace, you beautiful immortal butterfly anisong angel. The world is much more beautiful thanks to your contributions.
I say this 5 years after this song was made. I've grown up with Digimon since the beginning. Yeah, I wasn't born when it began, but I've watched every episode and every movie ever made since it's beginning. Did it have it's ups and downs? Yes, yes it did. Did it fall flat in some parts where it shouldn't have? Yes, yes it did! But you know what? I don't care! Why? Because this series has been with me since the beginning! I've seen it from start to finish in the 17-18 years I've been alive! Even as I grow older and move on towards the future, I still come back to this series. Why? Because it's been there since the beginning! Will I still watch this series in the future, even as I grow old? YES! WHY?! BECAUSE IT'S BEEN WITH ME SINCE THE BEGINNING! I SAY THIS NOT AS THE KID WHO GREW UP WITH IT, NOR AS THE ADULT WHO'S MOVING PAST HIS CHILDHOOD. I SAY THIS AS THE SPIRIT WHO FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SHOW THAT'S BEEN THERE SINCE THE BEGINNING! THIS IS MY BEGINNING, AND THUS, MY JOURNEY AS THE ALOOF SPIRIT WHO WISHES TO SEE MORE AND MORE, AGAIN AND AGAIN. *UNTIL MY SPIRIT GOES, I WILL JOURNEY ON WITH THESE CHOSEN CHILDREN!*
For those who grew up watching the series For those who will soon come to know it And for those who passed away with their hearts in this beautiful digimon dreamscape You are all Chosen Children of the Digital World
I may have grown up with and loved the English Dub/OST, But I will always appreciate the effort and quality of the original OST/Dub. Rest in peace Kouji, I only hope your passing was peaceful.
Same, I may have grown up only knowing the English dub & OST, but as soon as I watched the series with the original soundtrack, I couldn't got back :D Kouji's loss was a great one indeed, a fantastic creator of amazing tracks... very much missed indeed :'(
Being a gen z kid, I definitely can't relate to this as much as some of the older viewers, but I did grow up with Digimon. I remember finding it while trying to find Pokemon ( oof ik ) on Netflix. I ended up stumbling upon the first season of Digimon and was hooked. At the time, I didn't know who Koji Wada was but had definitely heard his music somewhere. When I found this song and found out about Koji Wada's death, I found myself surprisingly emotional, even shedding a few tears, remembering binge-watching episodes, and rewatching seasons multiple times. Koji has been, (and still is) a big part of my childhood. I wish the best upon Koji's legacy and hope it lives on for many years to come.
There's something about this song that inevitably makes me tear up despite how happy and upbeat it seems. ❤️ Digimon will always have a special place in my heart.

R.I.P my childhood, Kouji Wada thx for letting us hear this song before leaving. What a legend.
RIP Kouji Wada .
I will listen to this song through my entire life
Never forget this song since I was kid~
2019 and Kouji Wada is still in our hearts. Rest in Peace my friend.
life is like digimon you must evolve watever you like it or not
Can i die and become a new digi-egg
Unrelated(somewhat), but I really wish Pokemon followed suit. That franchise is being butchered to death and it's breaking my heart...
@@TheAbsol7448 same, it's the same tired formula every generation so maybe they just don't want to spice things up with maybe different things
@@HerooftheWild They did try something new in Gen 5, but didn't continue the momentum onwards. I really miss when they, for once, had a balanced story that was engaging and didn't interrupt gameplay.
@@TheAbsol7448 I really liked how kizuna adressed growing up, it runs totally contrary to other brands like mario and pokemon. I admire the vision in the team, inmensely.
thanks for this unforgettable childhood song Kouji Wadamon :)
You were diying from inside while singing this Koji, and yet you just did what your songs said about not giving up. Digimon adventure is once again in the map and I'm glad you were in its new beggining
和田光司先生去世了...................
想到他為Tri.還是那麼努力的唱....................
謝謝你帶給我們這麼美好的回憶。
Thank you for bringing back the memories of a happy sunday morning
