Wow, your horse is a machine at cross country and so honest!! There were a couple of moments at skinnies and corners when I braced myself but no, he just flew over them!!! And also some of the risky angles you took he didnt even think about it! Great riding

yes your positivity is awesome! If you keep praising him after the jump as he is accelerating he will want to always run fast. Maybe praise when he is calm and in control.
Husband just looked at me crazy and asked what I was watching. Told him a girl and her horse... I'm not sure he understands, but it is hilarious watching him ponder it!😂😂😂
I think it will get better over time but if I was doing this as well a show jumping I be so worried about which jumps I was going over and what way LOL,
They have a course map that they get before the event, and then they have course walks where the riders literally walk the entire course (on foot, no horses) to learn the route and calculate how they want to approach each obstacle.
Most horses never fall even once. Life is too short to avoid everything fun and joyful because something bad *might* happen. We're all gonna die so you wanna do it after a lifetime of sitting safely on the couch or with a lifetime of incredible experiences to remember?

We do too...we owned 3 greys once...and two were mud monsters...we owned the eventer Welton wizard...he was a grey too... ❤

I know you love your horse but I saw the worst accident where a horse broke it leg and injured the rider doing this.....these jumps don't budge.
