I think the most breathtaking part will be that it would feature SolarBalls since it will take place in space, and that US will be gettin' into space before Soviet Union does. Impressive, MrSpherical!
YES!!!!! WE ARE FINALLY GETTING A PART 2!!!! I hope they have SolarBalls in this episode It’s only necessary Since it’s space themed lol. But actually, I really hope they’re solarballs 🤩
Fun fact: Michael Collins actually didn’t set foot on the moon he was still in the command module orbiting the moon while Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin are on the moon’s surface
@@emmettcashion3961 no the third astronaut was in a module orbiting the moon. The reason is that once the two astronauts were down they would use the moon lander to take off then they would dock to the module. Due to the complexity of this by necessity they needed one person to stay in the module. Fun fact the person in the module would be referred to as the loneliest person since they are all alone in space for several days.
I cant imagine in real life the pressure all the scientist, engineers and all the NASA employees have during the space race. The soviets have the advantage in those years. In real life they put some information on the news paper to recruit astronauts for the Apollo missions or they simply recruit airforce pilots. Mr espherical have the great series of any historical events in real life with a comedian style.
Fun Fact: Wernher von Braun was the head director of NASA when the Moon landing happened. In fact, he was also the mastermind behind the Saturn V rocket that took Neil Armstrong and his team to the Moon.
And so did they start the road to co-operation. A few decades later, we're now looking at how to blow up the ISS and now we don't talk to each other as 2 major wars rage across the Earth...cool...great job, team!
Fun fact : Neil Armstrong actually said one step for ‘a’ man, one giant leap for mankind. Without the ‘a’ man and mankind would mean the same thing. Issues with the radio caused the ‘a’ to be omitted.
Hey MrSpherical I have a cool video idea hear me out What if America turn into an empire today. I even have a cool flag design for it. It would look like the original flag with black rectangle in the top left corner with small yellow stars on the edge with big blue star in the middle with an eagle head in the blue star. For the 13 stripes it will be in a pattern like this black, white, blue, white, black and repeat. For America himself he will have the flag design of course and he will have his sunglasses but you can see the eyes just a little bit and wearing a blue general hat. Thanks for hearing me out.
"One small step for ball, one giant leap for ballkind" I like how they changed "man" with "ball" lol. Anyways great video once again MrSpherical. Keep it up!
This is a Collab between Mr s and Solarballs bc this explains the moon landing in the solar all's universe but I guess it kinda explains why talking planets weren't a conspiracy in the Solarballs uni even though it's stupid crazy how they didn't even give crap about there being planets and moons with faces
there was A LOT of rockets blowing up troughout the 50s . . so the success of saturn v is somewhat down to luck and to cut it short: first 10 appolo missions were UNCREWED missions for testing and reconasaince . . it's similar thing whith any new rocket altho the larger and more adwanced it is, the longer it will take . . so expect like another 5 years of test missions whith the spacex starship before they get to their part of the artemis program
@star5384 Yea, I mean the Soviets were the first in space in the early 1960s and America took time to program the space race as in the end of the 1960s of 1969 as when history was made.
I find it funny that the C.S.M is already docked with the L.M and the L.M's landing legs are also engines... Oh and the L.M supports 3 people, leaving the damn C.S.M alone with no one in it.
Why is the engine exhaust come out of the landing legs in this? Also only two people went down to the surface of the moon each mission, the other was in orbit
USSR’s reaction is pretty inaccurate. Soviet government briefly congratulated them, and that's it - no huge attention to it. It was not sign of defeat or admission or anything, it was pretty OK at the time - for example, US congratulated the Soviet Union for Yuri Gagarin becoming first man in space. The newspapers had literally a couple of sentences on them about Apollo-11 landing on the Moon (not on front page obviously) like it’s no big deal and that was it. USSR at the time was more focused on spacecraft launches rather than human landings. There were a couple of times when Soviet government tried to duplicate the feat, but after a couple of failures, they just stopped and continued with other achievements, like first spacecraft on Venus or first space station in space. It was really uninterested in US Moon landing and it had no significant effect on them. Cooperation and Soyuz-Apollon program were made largely due to policy of détente that started in late 60s (time of Apollo-11 landing), not because USSR "finally admitted that they always needed to cooperate in space" or anything like that.
"This is our battle with America" also the ussr using Germans to go and do the rockets for them. +When the main captain/a German died. The Soviet Union stopped having progress on it all
I think it would be better if they talked more abt apollo 1 since ot was a very tragic incident that should’ve been taken more seriously rather than just putting it w music in a single few second scene 😭
I think the most breathtaking part will be that it would feature SolarBalls since it will take place in space, and that US will be gettin' into space before Soviet Union does. Impressive, MrSpherical!

If you mean that the U.S will get to the moon first, then yes. But if you mean space, the Soviet Union put the first man in space (historically.)

Dang you beat me to it, but yes you are right.

One has to look after the spaceship inside taking care of everything. It's actually accurate of what happened.
Thank you very much for starting to release videos about the USSR and America more often

The fact that soviets and Americans where cooperating for a wile to get to the moon makes it a bit difrent.
