I challenge you all to challenge your own mindsets. Music has always been about HUMAN CONNECTION. If you wanted music to be heard before technology you still had to push it. You had to go out in public and perform for people. You had to go talk to people and hand out your work or flyers to your concert. Now look at yourselves as artists wishing you could sit at home alone make music and not have to connect with anybody...the truth is the music IS enough if you’re just making music for yourself. You don’t HAVE to share it. But if you want to really connect with people through your music - as most musicians do - then why complain about having to do the work? You should be EXCITED to get out into the world and connect with people over your music. That’s the point of getting on the journey in the first place 💯

Always thought of promoting music as a difficult task that I would have to do if I wanted people to listen to my music. I only posted when I released a new song or if I had a new picture with someone. This video made me excited (for the first time) to promote my music and post regularly. Thanks for this. Really good info mate! I actually pretty much knew this myself through having another account on IG that I grew, but wasn't music based or personal based. I did realise though that it takes time, so you really gotta be consistent and work hard. I gotta almost be a major label by myself. Advertising, marketing, sales, music, graphics designing, video editing, photography, copywriting, etc... We gotta work hard as musicians! I'm 100% and can't wait to start managing my time towards my career properly.
