"True luxury" does not always boil down to handmade, or craft, or "finest" materials. For a self-declared luxury "expert," one would expect said expert to be familiar with the correct and proper pronunciation of luxury names. Givenchy....pronounced "Jhee-VON-shee." Resale value should not be considered a "pillar of luxury." Those who are able to shop with absolutely NO consideration for price buy for fashion, suitability of style, image, and the "touch" or "hand" of the product. Truly wealthy people dont care a bit about whether their purchase will sell on eBay. The best luxury brands are those that are nameless and truly bespoke. One of a kind items, tailor-made.
@@pyrexmaniac I agree mostly but since this is a video about luxury brand marketing the brandless type of ultra luxury is out of consideration for obvious reason
hey oren, really big fan of your work, been such a huge fan since the start, quite literally have watched and studied all of your videos across most of your platforms at least twice. i wanted to ask if you had any plans on making a comprehensive video about brand collaborations and speaking on the details/logistics of brands collabing. i feel like most places dont touch on the more minute stuff that i would like to know before jumping into a brand collab. figured it would be a useful video given the collaboration/collective era that we seem to be in, just a thought that i wanted to share. thanks man, hope you know i appreciate you and your work greatly, i share your content with so many of my colleagues, you are the secret sauce!
@@orenmeetsworld Agreed! Would love to hear more about luxury branding, marketing, advertising, etc. Would also love to hear more about luxury from a Services standpoint as opposed to just a Product standpoint. ❤
I appreciate that you talked about consultation/customer service/sales reps. I've been thinking about this a lot and I've been unable to find information on how to apply it to my brand. I recently started my brand and service is something I really want to have. Insane customer service and the ability for people to have their own personal client advisor. I noticed this at Louis Vuitton that they will sometimes give you their phone number and build a relationship with you. How do I do this for my small brand? I think it would make it stand out and encourage purchases knowing that the customer feels appreciated and special and that they have their own concierge to care for them. Thanks!
reach out to every single person after they order, introduce yourself and ask how it went replace yourself with someone who cares when you can - invaluable experience (I just started this with my brand as well)
@@orenmeetsworld Thanks so much for the reply! I appreciate it so much. Ok sounds good, I'll start doing that. Do you think I could also set up some way for someone to request a permanent personal client advisor?
Hey Oren, I‘m curious, what your thoughts are about the following topic: Do you think a luxury brand has always be to be minimalistic, cold, arrogant? I‘m asking, because I‘m about to launch luxury/premium brand for kids and my brand voice will be warm and friendly while focusing on family moments. Your answer will not change my plan, but I‘m watching all of your videos and I‘m curious to hear your thoughts. Kind regards
I would love to hear your thoughts on pricing in regards to unique designs. If you have a product that comes from an artistic place and is functional as a product but is positioned as art how do you go about pricing that.
Honestly kinda out of my purview - I’ve sold a lot of commoditized products but only was at one place where we did 1/1s and we charged 30x what a non custom would be, but had the clientele to support it
curious about your view of art as a brand. Koons and Hirst are the epitome of taking the subjective and creating "value" - especially the latter, who did not use traditonal channels to "go to market". Awesome channel and brilliant content.
I’m trying to understand why luxury consumers fetishize the "raw," like working-class aesthetics (e.g., distressed jeans, Balenciaga’s muddy shoes). A friend who hosts at an elite NYC nightclub often asks me to bring young artists to make the space feel cooler. This feels like young creatives are being objectified, giving the wealthy something new to boast about-partying with tomorrow’s talent, who can’t even afford the $30 cocktails. Why is this rawness so desirable when luxury itself is built on absolute perfection?

Can you talk about packaging when it comes to luxury branding?
For sure - I have a packaging video a few months back that hits it pretty well but will probably do a luxury specific version in future
Packaging so good it feels wrong to throw it out
These "luxury" brands often spend more on packaging than product.

timeless design is so important when creating something "luxury". it is not if you consider it luxury but whether your audience interprets it as such.
Learned a lot from this one. The brand world point is spot on.

no, I don't think it has to be cold - I think Hermes, Loro Piana, at times Patek have all done well with family and a warmer feel.

we'll get there

I would not confuse fashion and luxury - for Balenciaga that stuff is marketing
the 7 principles behind building a luxury brand
❤❤
7 pillars or 7 principles?
pillars but that looked odd in text on the TH-cam title, principles feels right for one of the title a/b tests
I am getting ready to launch a high-end dog probiotic supplement company. Will you guys consult with me?
I don’t do one off consults anymore - and not really knowledgeable in pets tbh
