Yep, and not to mention better access to a professional job and high earnings yourself if that's your thing. Presentation and packaging can make such a difference in how you can market yourself professionally, socially and romantically, and being in shape does a good chunk of that work for you. A shame tactic that I've witnessed is that those girls on the heavier weight side will say things like "undeveloped body" like No! The body of a woman is not just her breast or her butt. Since I was little I’ve been eating big breakfast and throwing or giving away my lunch and dinner because eating three times a day just felt like a waste of my playing time.😂 I still only eat once a day and can’t stay still. My goal is to live my whole life skinny and beautiful like my grandma, but I’ll never admit that to people I know.

When I used to hang out with my bigger friends (not my friends anymore due to jealousy) i noticed they pretended to be full around me because my appetite wasn't as large as theirs. They also used to shame me for not being as hungry as they were. Their life is centered around 'what should i eat today? what am i in the mood to eat?' food is their main source of dopamine. Their life seriously revolves around it. its crazy! I'm so glad i didnt fall for the "BBL/ Thick" trend that was being promoted. I knew it would be a slippery slope to getting obese.
I was at a Friendsgiving event and I didn’t find a lot of the food appetizing, so I put a piece of fruit on my plate and then got a small bowl of soup. My friend who’s much bigger than me then pretended like she was full halfway through her meal and immediately started “bragging” about how she barely ate anything all day and still managed to be full after I said I was full. My other friend (who is overweight but literally doesn’t care) exposed her for eating earlier in the day when they were preparing the food. She constantly makes comments about how little she eats but you don’t get that big from not eating. It all started when she found out I was on a weight loss journey even though I’m comparatively thin.
@@SevenofEleven Ikr! They immediately clocked her. And the kicker is it’s was GUMBO I put on my plate. That stuff is high in calories, especially with rice, and I also had a cookie. I was not starving and yet she felt inadequate because her plate was full of food. She purposefully only stopped eating when she saw my plate looked bare. And I noticed later on I never saw her throw away her plate of food, so who knows if she ended up eating it. This girl seems to be in competition with me about everything though, so it is not even just a weight thing.
Skinny girls are always productive.Girls in my university always in elite programs, walking, doing cross country track or just being generally busy.When your busy not just through exercise but also through your schedule such as being determined and having goals.When you have goals in life you can’t always think about food and your next dinner.Thats something else I notice with thin, slim, skinny girls.💫✨
Next week I'll be in my follicular phase, that's when I eat just one meal a day for two weeks straight. Along with not snacking, or drinking my calories (an occasional latte is okay) that's how I stay skinny. At 5'4" the heaviest I've been is 155 lbs. Low quality/dusty men approached me allll the time. I’m currently 181 lbs and 5’7 (compared to being 234 lbs a year ago), and I noticed my waist is more slimmer and my thighs are losing the excess cellulite it had (they’re still thick but they’re more defined and shaped). I’m also losing fat in my arms and they’re being more toned. Now all I do is eat two meals a day (4 hours before my bedtime), walk 10k minimum everyday, drink 3-4 liters of water daily, cook more at home (more cheaper than DoorDash), and make days to weight-lift (reps >>> weight). I went from a XL to a L/size 14 to size 12. Not a lot but it’s progress! I wanna be 150 🎉🎉🎉
We can never tell a plus size person to loose weight or you will get attacked but everyone else can tell a skinny person to gain weight. I understand if you gain weight through pregnancy, or any medical issues but it shouldn’t be your personality
I’m white and being skinny and pretty helps so much in my career. I’m an actress & model but I have also started a nutrition class business and people look at me as credible because I look beautiful, healthy and fit. Also I often get asked if I’m Russian (my name adds to this) or Eastern European and often I get treated as better not only because I look good but because people assume I’m not an American. My grandparents are Latvian but still being called a Russian princess is my favorite part of pretty privilege. P.s. I love being a slim girlie. I have been fit and in shape all of my 23 years. I have my mom to thank for raising us up eating healthy foods & staying active. My mom got me into swimming lessons at four years old and I played sports all my life and stay active in the gym. I am an unambiguous black woman. When I am surrounded by a group of women of any race or size I’m the only one that never gets complimented 🤷🏾♀️ a way to “try” humbling me but baby I know I’m pressure.

15:50 yup. I eat 3-4 meals a day of 300-400 cals each and eat between 12 and 8pm. easy to stay skinny this way and you can sleep well since its not heavy. And with this strat, youre basically full all day so no binging

I know, and the sad thing is, I used to be one of those people. When I saw a celebrity lose some weight, instead of being inspired, I got so mad. Looking back now, it was from a place of insecurity.
The reality is for the South Asian community is to be a "slim beauty" with curves at the right places. Its not necessarily being skinny that's desirable. The (slim) Hourglass figure is in both black and brown communities.
I had a coworker who is on the bigger side make small talk with me and in the conversation she says “my clothes are falling off of me” I asked her did she start working out she said “No”. I personally didn’t see a difference in her size and her clothes still looked the same on her, I think she was trying to relate to me or get me to validate her.

You can eat until full but just full up on fiber and plant protein. Cut out or back on meat and dairy. When you eat dairy eat low fat dairy. Drink lots of water.
skip breakfast and eat a lot of protein. also consider giving up caffeine because it could be stressing you without you even knowing and raising your cortisone levels making it hard to lose weight for women.
In the beginning, you have to start eating without any distractions. No phone, tv, etc. focus on your meal and thoroughly chew/masticating your bites BEFORE swallowing. I saw it in a nutrition video on ‘Parisian Vibe’ on TH-cam. I’ll send the name of it when I find it. Basically eat slow and never be in a rush! 😅
‘this is the skinny’ is a food journal on amazon and its a true gem! i refer it to anyone who asks me about my weight loss. it has body measurements trackers, and a calorie counting template for every day. every page has a different dieting tip and fitness challenge. even though i completed my journal, i still use those dieting habits everyday so i dont fall off. plus its pink and adorable 💞

At grocery stores I’ve checked out big girls shopping carts and unless it’s for their family the carts are packed with soft drinks, processed snacks, desserts and meat. They aren’t getting big by accident.

Something I’ve noticed is that people think I’m younger, I can still fit my clothes from middle school!! I use to be sad hoping I’d grow into a grown woman body but I’ve learned to realize and appreciate how much of a privilege it is to be skinny
My mother in law says I 'eat too little' and always tries to get me to eat more by refilling my plate when I'm over. She screamed that I will get fat if I keep eating so little (because my metabolism would slow down apparently). I said that I have been thicker before and I am happy now with my body and eating habits. Went from 140 to under 120 lbs at 5'3 and I feel so much more confident. Everyone keeps saying I am too skinny and I pretend to be annoyed, even tho I see it as a compliment. 😂

Having a planner, grocery list and food tracking is so true. I'm addicted to checking things off on my planner. If I'm getting over 75% done I feel like super woman 😊 And fun hobbies like arts and crafts, dates, gallery visits, park walks, conservatory visits, and having fun, will give you many other things to think about besides your next meal and looking fit and beautiful is super fun 😁

I’m skinny and one thing i don’t really tell people because I didn’t even notice it until I tried gaining weight , is that I don’t think about food or fantasize about food as much as others … I eat 2 or 3 meals a day when I’m hungry , if I’m not hungry I don’t think about food and on top of that I eat smaller portions than what they would serve at a restaurant or fast food place… also my appetite is the best a week before my period that’s when I’m craving pastas and sweets and I will over eat anything but the rest of the month I’m back to normal
Yep I have a fasting app on my phone that I use everyday 😂❤ in high school I definitely wasn’t eating healthy in that I only ate a muffin in the morning and hot Cheetos for lunch and if I didn’t like the dinner my mom was cooking, I just didn’t eat at all. But as I got older, I started eating more greens and fruits but my calorie count is typically low either way. I think when you are happy going after your goals, you’re less likely to eat because you’re just busy with other things.

And I remember years ago a woman who knew people in the fat acceptance community said they all secretly wanted to lose weight while shouting, “Big is beautiful.” It took me a really longtime to realize being skinny is possible. Eating healthy & not overeating just feels better. Why torture oneself??
I do two meals per day and that's only because I have to feed my family dinner, otherwise I would just eat a big lunch and call it a day. Another thing to mention is that as you age you have to reduce the amount you eat otherwise you will start putting on weight even though you aren't doing anything different.
Yes I’ve noticed that I like a big brunch (between 11am-2pm). Big huge meals at any other time make me feel bloated. If I eat a big meal late at night I might have to wake up and go to the bathroom, or I have to immediately go in the morning 😂
I’m curvy and I like to stay active. I realize that ppl I know that are like 300+ lbs get angry with me when I make them walk long distances or want to do fit activities they also make fun of my foods and say I eat like a rabbit but this is because I have an insulin disorder and I can’t eat trash I already have trouble keeping my weight.
I'm sad for allowing people within the black community (my community) to belittle me into gaining weight. You're right curvy or thick is the preferred body type in the black community. If you're not that standard of beauty u get called flat booty or get compared to a white girl . The problem is different body types can be Beautiful but feeling like since you've in the black community you have to be thick is a problem. Can you discuss how to not overeat during the holidays? My family loves pressuring me into eating and I always end up gaining like 3-5 lbs over the holidays.
Calorie count and portion control for example google the amount of calories in the food and eat small portions if any of the meals go over 500 don't eat it and drink 1 glass of water before and after every meal to feel fuller this helps me eat less and feel full more
If you are adolescent then you need more calories because your body is growing. Skipping meals can lead to malnutrition which will cause fainting, anemia, weak immune system, less body strength etc. I would say focus more on nutrition in your meals & limit junk food. Also be physically active. Just because you were skinny doesn't mean you were healthy. A lot of what she's describing is anorex!a. Don't get an ed just for the aesthetics, it's not worth it. My friends do suffer from that and it's very heartbreaking. It feels like their brainpower, energy levels, the glow on their skin and hair have gone down hill. Personal suggestions: •take a nutrition course. •Implement these for types of exercise- Light aerobic, intense aerobic, strength training and flexibility exercises. •de-stress •sleep 8+hrs •stay hydrated •do body massages •use your brain more via games, learning etc. (that burns cals)
I use to joke and say that on the inside I feel like a big girl too😂😂😂😂😂😂lies it was performative. I never felt like a big back but in fat spaces you do have to tone down 😅
As someone who has 108-110 lb my entire life I agree to everything you say. ❤ I can eat whatever and I still move a lot. When I was into walking I had 17kilometers average everyday (!). I am 36 now, and I just eat healthy most of the time , move and active, and maximum I was in my life was 52 kilo, but I always 48-49kilo, 5’8 tall and it’s just matter of habit. Most of the times I have two meals a day, rarely dinner. I don’t eat dinner, and stop alcohol more than a year ago. Body and health just takes a lot of consciousness

Spoiler alert: I dont move my body more, I just eat once a day and avoid eating carbs and sugar at home. Then people act surprised when I eat 5-6 enchiladas in one sitting.
There is a dark side to that too. Some woman will be so triggered they will make up a lie and sabbotage you professionaly, humiliate you because how dare you are fit??! Take my burden( they want you to apply for emotional garbage assistant to make her feel good about herself, beautiful lies) or I'll get rid of you by charachter assassination, smear champagnes...all kinds of drama and the core truth behind all the shekspirian tragedy: she is jealous you are fit and is punishing you how dare you?! I'm now on an environment where woman are fit, feels so good. Well since overweight girls have a problem with fit ones I do too. Stop burdening me with your insecurities, I don't share trauma and struggle with you, why should I take yours?!
Skinny girls having different eating habits is so true. When I was a teenager, all my friends were skinny (like boney skinny). I was on the skinny side as well but I was more 'skinny fat'. I wanted to lose weight so I observed my friends eating habits. We would go out for dinner and they would barely touch the meals. They were busy gossiping, taking pictures, etc., while my attention would be on the food. I'd think 'when do we eat?'. And when they'd finally start eating, they were extremely picky. "This is too spicy", "don't like the texture of this", I'd hear them say things like that and put their food away. They'd eat/chew slowly, drink water in between. I grew up poor so I never wanted to waste food I paid for, so often I'd end up eating their portions too. Ever since I started incorporating these tricks in my life, I've lost weight. I'm not exactly skinny yet, but I'm working on it. I know skinny/pretty privilege is a real thing I want to have it.

When I used to hang out with my bigger friends (not my friends anymore due to jealousy) i noticed they pretended to be full around me because my appetite wasn't as large as theirs. They also used to shame me for not being as hungry as they were. Their life is centered around 'what should i eat today? what am i in the mood to eat?' food is their main source of dopamine. Their life seriously revolves around it. its crazy! I'm so glad i didnt fall for the "BBL/ Thick" trend that was being promoted. I knew it would be a slippery slope to getting obese.
I was at a Friendsgiving event and I didn’t find a lot of the food appetizing, so I put a piece of fruit on my plate and then got a small bowl of soup. My friend who’s much bigger than me then pretended like she was full halfway through her meal and immediately started “bragging” about how she barely ate anything all day and still managed to be full after I said I was full. My other friend (who is overweight but literally doesn’t care) exposed her for eating earlier in the day when they were preparing the food. She constantly makes comments about how little she eats but you don’t get that big from not eating. It all started when she found out I was on a weight loss journey even though I’m comparatively thin.

@@SevenofEleven Ikr! They immediately clocked her. And the kicker is it’s was GUMBO I put on my plate. That stuff is high in calories, especially with rice, and I also had a cookie. I was not starving and yet she felt inadequate because her plate was full of food. She purposefully only stopped eating when she saw my plate looked bare. And I noticed later on I never saw her throw away her plate of food, so who knows if she ended up eating it. This girl seems to be in competition with me about everything though, so it is not even just a weight thing.

Skinny girls are always productive.Girls in my university always in elite programs, walking, doing cross country track or just being generally busy.When your busy not just through exercise but also through your schedule such as being determined and having goals.When you have goals in life you can’t always think about food and your next dinner.Thats something else I notice with thin, slim, skinny girls.💫✨
Next week I'll be in my follicular phase, that's when I eat just one meal a day for two weeks straight. Along with not snacking, or drinking my calories (an occasional latte is okay) that's how I stay skinny.

I’m currently 181 lbs and 5’7 (compared to being 234 lbs a year ago), and I noticed my waist is more slimmer and my thighs are losing the excess cellulite it had (they’re still thick but they’re more defined and shaped). I’m also losing fat in my arms and they’re being more toned.
Now all I do is eat two meals a day (4 hours before my bedtime), walk 10k minimum everyday, drink 3-4 liters of water daily, cook more at home (more cheaper than DoorDash), and make days to weight-lift (reps >>> weight).
I went from a XL to a L/size 14 to size 12. Not a lot but it’s progress! I wanna be 150 🎉🎉🎉

Also I often get asked if I’m Russian (my name adds to this) or Eastern European and often I get treated as better not only because I look good but because people assume I’m not an American.

I love being a slim girlie. I have been fit and in shape all of my 23 years. I have my mom to thank for raising us up eating healthy foods & staying active. My mom got me into swimming lessons at four years old and I played sports all my life and stay active in the gym. I am an unambiguous black woman. When I am surrounded by a group of women of any race or size I’m the only one that never gets complimented 🤷🏾♀️ a way to “try” humbling me but baby I know I’m pressure.

15:50 yup. I eat 3-4 meals a day of 300-400 cals each and eat between 12 and 8pm. easy to stay skinny this way and you can sleep well since its not heavy. And with this strat, youre basically full all day so no binging

The reality is for the South Asian community is to be a "slim beauty" with curves at the right places. Its not necessarily being skinny that's desirable. The (slim) Hourglass figure is in both black and brown communities.

You can eat until full but just full up on fiber and plant protein. Cut out or back on meat and dairy. When you eat dairy eat low fat dairy. Drink lots of water.
skip breakfast and eat a lot of protein. also consider giving up caffeine because it could be stressing you without you even knowing and raising your cortisone levels making it hard to lose weight for women.

In the beginning, you have to start eating without any distractions. No phone, tv, etc. focus on your meal and thoroughly chew/masticating your bites BEFORE swallowing. I saw it in a nutrition video on ‘Parisian Vibe’ on TH-cam. I’ll send the name of it when I find it. Basically eat slow and never be in a rush!

Something I’ve noticed is that people think I’m younger, I can still fit my clothes from middle school!! I use to be sad hoping I’d grow into a grown woman body but I’ve learned to realize and appreciate how much of a privilege it is to be skinny
My mother in law says I 'eat too little' and always tries to get me to eat more by refilling my plate when I'm over. She screamed that I will get fat if I keep eating so little (because my metabolism would slow down apparently). I said that I have been thicker before and I am happy now with my body and eating habits. Went from 140 to under 120 lbs at 5'3 and I feel so much more confident. Everyone keeps saying I am too skinny and I pretend to be annoyed, even tho I see it as a compliment. 😂

I’m skinny and one thing i don’t really tell people because I didn’t even notice it until I tried gaining weight , is that I don’t think about food or fantasize about food as much as others … I eat 2 or 3 meals a day when I’m hungry , if I’m not hungry I don’t think about food and on top of that I eat smaller portions than what they would serve at a restaurant or fast food place… also my appetite is the best a week before my period that’s when I’m craving pastas and sweets and I will over eat anything but the rest of the month I’m back to normal

Yep I have a fasting app on my phone that I use everyday 😂❤ in high school I definitely wasn’t eating healthy in that I only ate a muffin in the morning and hot Cheetos for lunch and if I didn’t like the dinner my mom was cooking, I just didn’t eat at all. But as I got older, I started eating more greens and fruits but my calorie count is typically low either way. I think when you are happy going after your goals, you’re less likely to eat because you’re just busy with other things.

I do two meals per day and that's only because I have to feed my family dinner, otherwise I would just eat a big lunch and call it a day. Another thing to mention is that as you age you have to reduce the amount you eat otherwise you will start putting on weight even though you aren't doing anything different.
Yes I’ve noticed that I like a big brunch (between 11am-2pm). Big huge meals at any other time make me feel bloated. If I eat a big meal late at night I might have to wake up and go to the bathroom, or I have to immediately go in the morning 😂

I'm sad for allowing people within the black community (my community) to belittle me into gaining weight. You're right curvy or thick is the preferred body type in the black community. If you're not that standard of beauty u get called flat booty or get compared to a white girl . The problem is different body types can be Beautiful but feeling like since you've in the black community you have to be thick is a problem. I think dating men who find u attractive is much better for your mental health than trying to change your body doing negative things. I have a naturally skinner frame with big natural boobs. Lol white men and mixed race men liked me but I wanted to be desired by black men. Tbh we don't have to prove our loyalty to our race by only dating one race. Calorie count and portion control for example google the amount of calories in the food and eat small portions if any of the meals go over 500 don't eat it and drink 1 glass of water before and after every meal to feel fuller this helps me eat less and feel full more

If you are adolescent then you need more calories because your body is growing. Skipping meals can lead to malnutrition which will cause fainting, anemia, weak immune system, less body strength etc. I would say focus more on nutrition in your meals & limit junk food. Also be physically active.
Just because you were skinny doesn't mean you were healthy. A lot of what she's describing is anorex!a. Don't get an ed just for the aesthetics, it's not worth it. My friends do suffer from that and it's very heartbreaking. It feels like their brainpower, energy levels, the glow on their skin and hair have gone down hill.

I can eat whatever and I still move a lot. When I was into walking I had 17kilometers average everyday (!). I am 36 now, and I just eat healthy most of the time , move and active, and maximum I was in my life was 52 kilo, but I always 48-49kilo, 5’8 tall and it’s just matter of habit. Most of the times I have two meals a day, rarely dinner. I don’t eat dinner, and stop alcohol more than a year ago. Body and health just takes a lot of consciousness

Spoiler alert: I dont move my body more, I just eat once a day and avoid eating carbs and sugar at home. Then people act surprised when I eat 5-6 enchiladas in one sitting.
There is a dark side to that too. Some woman will be so triggered they will make up a lie and sabbotage you professionaly, humiliate you because how dare you are fit??! Take my burden( they want you to apply for emotional garbage assistant to make her feel good about herself, beautiful lies) or I'll get rid of you by charachter assassination, smear champagnes...all kinds of drama and the core truth behind all the shekspirian tragedy: she is jealous you are fit and is punishing you how dare you?!
I'm now on an environment where woman are fit, feels so good.
Well since overweight girls have a problem with fit ones I do too. Stop burdening me with your insecurities, I don't share trauma and struggle with you, why should I take yours?!
Skinny girls having different eating habits is so true. When I was a teenager, all my friends were skinny (like boney skinny). I was on the skinny side as well but I was more 'skinny fat'. I wanted to lose weight so I observed my friends eating habits.
We would go out for dinner and they would barely touch the meals. They were busy gossiping, taking pictures, etc., while my attention would be on the food. I'd think 'when do we eat?'. And when they'd finally start eating, they were extremely picky. "This is too spicy", "don't like the texture of this", I'd hear them say things like that and put their food away. They'd eat/chew slowly, drink water in between.
I grew up poor so I never wanted to waste food I paid for, so often I'd end up eating their portions too. Ever since I started incorporating these tricks in my life, I've lost weight. I'm not exactly skinny yet, but I'm working on it. I know skinny/pretty privilege is a real thing I want to have it.

As a 47 year old skinny woman, I’ll say that I do all these things. That’s how I’ve remained skinny
