- In this English lesson we learn the difference between TRANSITIVE phrasal verbs and INTRANSITIVE phrasal verbs.
We start by looking at simple transitive verbs and what they are. Next we look at transitive phrasal verbs with examples sentences.
Then we learn about intransitive verbs and what they are. Next we look at intransitive phrasal verbs with examples sentences.
Then we compare a phrasal verb that can be both transitive AND intransitive and how they have different meanings and uses.
We also touch upon the position of object with some transitive phrasal verbs.

No, just English, Spanish and Italian for now.
Excellent explanation. Loved it. Thank you very much. A question: Is there a phrasal verb for every verb? For example : "Tolerate" the phrasal verb is "Put up with", " Cancel" the phrasal verb is "Call off". That's my question.
I thank you in advance for your answer. (16/04/2022)
For many verbs yes, but I don't think there would be a phrasal verb for each verb.
Thanks a lot
Great
Would you please make a video about formin qustions but in details
Thanks again

Glad I could help. 😀
nice sir!
Thanks!
Hello sir,
I hope you are fine.
I have a question, kindly help me.
I have studied in many books that object pronouns can be placed between main verb and particle but I saw some examples where object pronouns are used at the end.
Examples are:
Carol ran into her.
Carol heart about it.
Carol will get off it.
Her and it are object pronouns, aren't they? If so, so why are they used at the end.
I am looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Usually they are AFTER a verb.
There are some exceptions with some of the transitive PHRASAL VERBS where the object can sometimes go in the middle.
What about the verb "to smile" here: I SMILED AT HIM. Is it transitive here?
great job buddy, precise and very useful for learners 😊
I think there is no limit for language

Thaaaanks
Great explanation sir.... 😁im a student... And it's very difficult to understand grammer... But ur explanation is very easy to understand
Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad I can help in some way.
How will I recognize if it is transitive or intransitive?
I explain the difference in the video. Also most good dictionaries say whether a verb is transitive or intransitive or both.
Could you suggest me a dictionary?🙏
Love from the first sight and like, and subscription ) Wonderful job! Who are you? I ran into your lesson by chance but it seems forever. ) Thank you so much from Ukraine.

Looking for what? Looking for who?
I understand better the phrasal verbs according your video , but I get a question I hope you can reply me how to know to use them separate or joined form.. If exist and already you did the video send me the link please..
It depends on the phrasal verb. When you learn a new one, you also need to learn whether it can be separated.
@@WoodwardEnglish ok.. I heard that exist a list about the type of each phrasal verbs as well. Thanks a lot to reply me.. Greetings from. México I need to figure out better these phrasal verbs..
