    Nice to see you back in a vid Tumbo, great set up on that crossbow, great shooting too.
    Livestreams would be good, they're fun to do and join in with and any crossbow tests in general is always good i think.

    Good to see you back. The crossbow looks great, is the laser sight on it configurable? If so that might be quite good if you can accurately set it for 20-30 yards etc.

      Weaponsandstuff93 thanks liam, yea the laser is adjustable mate, i use it more for range estimation than anything else.... Besides that little red dot speaks every language under the sun when it comes to persuasion lol

    Hi mate
    What type of scope would you recommend for a crossbow. I have a Anglo Arms Panther that came with a red dot sight, but I can't really see the red dot outside 👍

      Personally I would go small if using it in the garden.big scopes add extra weight you don’t need at short ranges and they can make reloading slower to as they cover more of the rail.

      @@tumbo1984 I have a 4x32 air rifle scope. But it won't fit on the 20 mil crossbow rail. If I get some brackets to fit it , will that be ok or will the scope be to high on the rail?

    • @tumbo1984
      @tumbo1984  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Phil Smith 20mm will work fine with that scope.also you can buy the mounts in low profile,medium or high so it’s just a matter of picking what’s best for you.lower mounts would be best for garden ranges and high mounts for longer ranges where you will get a lot of more drop from the arrow/bolt

    Hi. I have been thinking about getting a Mark 2 Jaguar crossbow (aka EK JAG 2) and have been searching TH-cam looking for info on it. I stumbled upon this video and saw you using it. Can you tell me how you get on with string wear and finding replacement strings as the MK1 strings dont fit (too short)?
    Also, have you tried using a MK1 175lb prod/limb with this bow? A guy in the states said he swapped out the Mark2 Jags wider limb for an old Mark 1 limb / prod to both reduce the size of the bow a bit and allow him to use cheap MK 1 Jag strings. Cant find any account of anyone else doing it but it looks like a doable mod.
    I will likely stick with my Mark 1 if replacement strings are hard to come by (mark 1 strings are everywhere). Let me know if you have found a supplier.
    Cheers.

      Thought UnCubed hello, to date i have had no wear issues with the string... They really are better made. The prod would swap out easy enough, ive not yet found spare strings for it tho.it is a good choice to go with, very accurate and good power

      Many thanks for getting back to me. I think one will be going on my credit card soon, along with a Mark 1 Jag 175lb limb/prod for it. I've been on to the importers about strings and they cant give me an answer. Seems strange. Contacted a few retailers and they havent got any strings for the MK2 from the supplier. Maybe theres some sort of simple explaination but I wont risk having a dead bow if the string wears or frays. If I swap out the limb/prod for the Mk1 then its problem solved about strings. Mk1 strings are everywhere and very cheap. People dont stock up enough on strings. They store hundreds of bolts and only have 2 or 3 strings tops. From experience of woodland shooting in bad weather that just aint enough. I've got through a string in as little as 50 shots in the past. Unless people can make thier own its a potential problem. Final thing, not sure if the extra half inch or so of power stroke on the Mark2 over the Mark1 will be an issue when using the Mk1 limb as it will likely increase draw weight to well beyond the 180lb+ region. Be interesting to have though. A MK2 body with a tried and tested MK1 limb and string set up............
