Just ordered one of these after I managed to find some stock and watched a couple of your videos, it will sit between my cheap shot 130, EK cobra R9 and my 410 fps EK accelerator crossbows in my collection. I’m going to check if I can get the 175lb limb to fit the smaller self cocking R9 crossbow with a bit of fiddling around!
They are nice crossbows bud....biggest problem I see fitting the 175lb prod would be the draw length when cocked.you wouldn’t get the full power from the limb and the extra width and weight on a shorter and lighter crossbow would make it a bit front heavy...sounds like your collection is already on the mark mate.remember performance can always be improved by experimenting with bolt length and weight
tumbo1984 they look brilliant for the cash! Yeah I thought about the draw length, the little cheap shot and R9 are only 7.5” draw length, but I was thinking about doing that trick from the slingshot channel were he reverses the limb. Was just an idea I had floating around, but either way it’ll make a good addition to the collection. I see you have the Redback pistol crossbow too, that’ll probably be my next addition as soon as I can find one in stock somewhere, how do you rate it?
I’m in England and I’m looking at getting one of these , I’ve done a bit of longbow archery so crossbows are completely new, I’d like something with a bit of power , is it legal to hunt with them on private land ? Good vid btw mate
Depends on what you want it for...a. 120lb mankung commando is perfect for long shooting sessions in the garden.a 175lb Jaguar is great when you have range and the legal ability to hunt
Check out the 355 micro is a an absolute animal its tiny but could drop a moose with one thy do a 388 i think the companys hoyt but type in 355 crossbow and it will come up
Hi pal wonder if you can help, I've just bought an armex tomcat 2 for my dad, we spent ages with red dot sight and did ok- ish but it's more than occasionally hitting far and wide at 10 yards. The arrow spring retention is quite tight, could this be the cause? I'm firing 6.5" alu zombies and just cant get it grouping. I'd appreciate any thoughts you may have. Hope alls well 👊👍ps the jag2 pro is a beast, we have that sighted near perfect.
Could be a few things, most cheap red dots don’t hold a zero long as the recoil shakes them silly.took me a while to figure it out on mine lol.if your reusing the same bolts they might have a bend in them.when shooting the same 3 bolts I find the one flyer consistently lands in the same place and will always be the same bolt
@@tumbo1984 thanksfor getting back quickly, mate that's appreciated. Thing is all arrows are new and sometimes group then a flyer..frustrating. scope is a amazon 25 quid red/green optical, no bends that I can see in the arrows just lack of consistency, was thinking of putting the manual sights on to try. Whats your thoughts on the arrow spring retention being tight, it holds them down proper stiff like, again thanks for your words of wisdom👍?
ShaunShack irons are better tbh mate,a red dot under £100 is gonna shake it’s self to death....ive wasted enough cash on them to know lol.i don’t think the arrow retention clip would be causing any problems as the rail is straight and the bolt clears the clip before leaving the rail..try to twist the bolts before pulling them out of the backstop...lost count of how many I bent pulling them wrong.also lose points will cause the bolt to wobble in flight
i think the string may be start to get too loose mate.. i saw another clip on you tube with a guy using same bow, and it shredded metal pans into half, with the arrows flying in warp speeds, fired from almost same distance with you..
@@cherno2232 Any form of hunting with a bow or crossbow is strictly prohibited with no exceptions in the uk..we can own them for novelty purposes just not with intention to hunt
Hi folks. Just seen the video. The crossbow has more than enough power go right through the pan. You just need to use the right arrow tips. It's not only about having sharp edges, it's more about the arrowhead to be heavy enough so it can transfer that kinetic energy on to the target. An arrow tip of 200+ grain weight from that distance would definetly get the job done.
Ive got an rx adder, turned my frying pan into a pepper pot in minutes. I bought a stinger steambow at the same time, but without broadheads its not too impressive. I thought that would be it,but after seeing the tenpoint nitro xrt i wont be happy until i own one! Fuck the cost! 😂
I was just thinking to myself the other day when I was out shopping.....Wouldn’t it be great for the future legality of being able to buy crossbows if there were more people out there in their gardens practicing with crossbows whilst getting wankered on weed.
