I remember a tool called CARA (Computer Aided Room Acoustics) I used to calculate room modes more than 20 jears ago. It even was possible to let the program calculate the best speaker and listener position within a certain rectangular. And: my cinema room is L-shaped. I might look for the CD and give it a try on my new PC. CARA took some days for calculating ...
I would love to see a implementation of listener and speaker, materials and a better camera control (a slice of the room at a specific hight and overlapping visualization of pressure fields). By now this is nothing new and there is already freeware out there doing exactly this: calculating room eigenmodes using the fem method.
Remember that the modal field is not the actual field in the room, so it can be very difficult from the modes alone to figure out what the resulting field will be for several loudspeakers and subwoofers with each their dsp (potentially).
I have a good and treated room, producing for almost 30 years, as of late I am using Slate VSX for mixing and my mixes have become even better. Since I have these headphones I am done tweaking the room etc. Who uses VSX to mix here? Anyone?
OH GOD YES! This is what I have been begging for! Because I have rooms that are just... hell.... hahahah. Like... 13 faces.... (including roof and floor) It is just one huge mess... and I can´t really measure the rooms though as the room in room constructions still has to be done. But I still need to figure out what I need to do ahead of time cause bachelor project... So they won´t actually exist so I can´t measure them (problem is that the programms cost so so so so so much money waiting for e-mail to arrive. On a sige note. Question on Diffussion. I watched your video on the topic and I am a bit confused on something that I seem the hear all the time. That Diffusion int the first reflection area on the wall improves the stereo image... is there truth do that? I am in a very samm room and know most of the things I want to do with my treatment... this is the one thing I am still unsure about though.. because I know with how close the walls are to me, I will need to treat those first reflections for sure... and with diffusion needing space to really work, in a 2.5 meter wide room it isn´t what one would go for right?
Buy Slate VSX headphones. Then your own speakers + room will become just some room which the music was not made in. It will take your room out of the equation. If you make it sound good in those virtual studios and then bypass the headphones and switch to your speakers, you will be blown away. And then your room doesn’t matter; it will be a well translated mix. Please try it. It will save you tons of money. I’ve been producing and mixing full time since the nineties and I am over the moon with these headphones. 😙

Just used it, cool app! Pretty much mimics what I see in REW. Would be interested in seeing you use the IR analyzer!
Allow for the import of LiDar room/space images. Easily created with most newer iPhones and iPads.
That's awesome. Thanks for the info.
Thank You for this Tool!
Very helpful to backup my sub/objective "Experiences" in my Tent shaped Rooftop Studio
Keep on Rolling ✊🏼😎
Apperantly an amroc pro is coming too which is in closed beta atm.
Great resource. Thanks!

@@chinmeysway I never said I did that. But these are not just headphones. Try them

Very cool.
hi, is this like Dirac> does it work with Dirac?

Doesn’t it matter where the speakers/sub(s) are placed?
Yes, the actual sound field will depend on speaker and listener placement. The modes depend solely on the room.
It seems the website is down :(. Really want to use this for my L room
Edit: Nevermind it was my work blocking it lol
Super interesting tool horrendous website...
