Just got a gen 2 ranch 5.56 and took it out yesterday for a quick on paper session. I should have taken my AR out also for comparison as that muzzle break is a thumper. I picked the gen 2 up having kids and liked the option of shortening the LOP as needed. To me the best LOP for kids that I saw when buying my son's 22 was 11" on the KRG bravo chassis/stock. To me seeing that the 2 LOP spacers are $30 just raise my gun price $20 and include them from the get go. I'm much less likely at this point to mess with buying them. Overall I liked my first session with the gun and wish my Remington 700 Tactical .308 had this bolt knob on it as the action moved so nice.
I love the concept, I always struggle with to short rifle stocks. Not sure how i feel about the plastic stock. I’m probably going to get a Boyds stock, like i have on all my other Ruger rifles.
Is it possible to add another spacer to make the length of pull longer, mine has the stock spacer on it when i got it and its an inch to short for my size.
Lol I wish, but I doubt the magnums get more than a 22”. A 24 or 26 is a bit unwieldy with an included muzzle brake, but the trend is for shorter and shorter barrels with muzzle devices.

Not sure why they redesigned the stock system should have just stuck with the ruger American rimfire stock blue print. Ruger still makes you buy spacers so it doesn’t really save us any money, the rimfire system also looks better in my opinion. Is ruger going to make an adaptor kit to make the mag flush? Or just turn it into an internal non removable box mag? So far the mag is the deal breaker
I love the concept but it’s designed without regard for guys with a longer length of pull. That and the stock on my Ruger American gen 1 is slightly longer than my gen 2. I’m 6’1” and have a 14.25” length of pull. I have no way to get me to that length without paying through the nose for an aftermarket option through Boyd’s, Magpul etc. Please design and release a length of pull spacer with long bolts to add to the 13.75”
Let me guess, limited calibers in #Lefthand like #Ruger has been known for? This has been the reason I have yet to own a Ruger American to this day. All the cool calibers I’ve wanted, Ruger didn’t release in their #Lefthand models. Thankfully companies like #Savage has released lefties in the calibers we want.
Worse. No left hand at all. Also, I tried getting the AICS conversion kit for the Ruger American I do have. They wouldn't sell it to me because my rifle is left-handed. I think I'm done with Ruger. Tikka actually gives a crap about left handed shooters.
I’m disappointed that it didn’t come with the shorter length of pull adjustments in the box… and only one mag? Come on, Ruger. When did you get so cheap?
I am SO disappointed in this gun. Of all the amazing upgrades to the gun there is one that makes it unbuyable, the safety. That is the absolutely WORST place to have a safety. I am so tired of guns over time, having the safety wear down to the point where every time you shoot the recoil knoces the safety. I think a safety is very important, but I would rather have NO safety than that safety. Additionally, it is simply egonomically the absolutely worst spot to have a safety. I have so many Rugers and I'm so disgusted by this I'm not sure I'm ever going to buy another ruger again.

Was this gun supposed to come with different LOP because I didn't have any in my box.

I like the system for length of pull adjustment, looks to be better designed than that offered by Savage.
Can you remove the space and just put the bumper back on or does it have to have a spacer?
Is there a plan to make adult sized rifles with real barrels of 24-25"?

HOW do you remove the muzzle break on this thing? It's on there way too tight.

very nice
does it come in black?
Standard model, shown here in the video has a gray stock…ranch model with shorter barrel has a tan stock.

The magazine is removable on this other video I watched

Begone subhuman lefty!
Held one a local shop..way too short. Im 6'1"

Exactly, plastic trigger guards and rifle butt pad on 10/22s.

That looks like way too much time and $ on the butt stock. If you buy if for a kid that he can grow up with it makes sense, other wise it's cheeky.
I like how they sell all these things with the gun and not separately
Being sarcastic? Because it didn’t come with mine
@robins265 really? I went and checked it out and I'm pretty sure it comes with everything. I even asked the guy at the counter.
Mine didn’t
