Next trip should be an art and craft store. I get cholla wood there for 3 bucks. Tons of colored glass pebbles, sand and gravel. Yarn for spawning mops, needle point sheets for propagating moss and so much more. Also I love the mesh body poof things. Cut it open and you have a nice wide hole mesh to form moss balls. Just add a small rock to weight it down.
Great ideas! Thanks!
I loooooove Dollar Tree for fish things! I just miss when it was DOLLAR tree...
I know…me too 😊
I could definitely use the tiny trash bin and bags, the pitchers for water, and the rubber bands. Many of those ideas were so cute! Love your channel! ... Oh, and those tiles for the backs of my tanks..🐟🐟🌿🌿.
Trash can @12:51 = PRICELESS!! 👋😂🤣👍
Creative lady! Love it
I need some of those small containers to carry baby brine shrimp from our hatchery to our tanks.
Nice! 😊
That pink holder with a section cups could be used inside the tank to hold cuttings of plants that you are trying to grow out of the tank such as pothos for example.
Yes! You got it 😊
Definitely need those squishy floor mats to save my knees!!!! And the tiny recycling bins ♻️!!!! For all my random small items!
New dollar tree hack. I was adding spider plants to my tanks and couldn't find anything that worked in my house. Then I found Christmas tree hooks and they seem to work great! You can get a pack over 100 For $1.25..lol
Been using small storage containers with lips for immersed plants found ones that sit on rims of 5.5 perfect.
Some really great ideas Joanna!
Unrelated to your video but I wanted to share with you: I just saw an ad on Pinterest for this summer’s collection of Behr paint at Home Depot and one of the colors is a bluish-green called “Beta fish” (spelled exactly that way) How fun!
oh. my. goodness!!! how cool is THAT! I had to look it up and boy is it a pretty color too! thanks for the tip 😊🙌
@@thesmallscapeI agree, it is a pretty color!
Love it
Hi! I love these videos 😊 I have one of those grabbers (I call a dojigger 🤣) for around my laundry area. I used it this morning for the socks that go rogue out of the laundry chute into hard to reach places. I still like Dollar Tree but I’ve boycotted the aisles that are $3 and $5 just on principle. I’m so stubborn. 😂 That submersible puck light is tempting though!
💚💚💙💙
Love your hair like this
Thank you so much! 😊
I have used the grabber and the small Tupperware containers, and completely loved both.
Side note: the small containers are a crafters best friend. Beads, glitter, gems, and so mu h more, all have a home.
You’ve got that right! My craft drawers are filled with them! 🙌
I have that step stool...easy store and handy!!
I was SO excited to find that! 🙌
Definitely will be dropping by the local dollar tree! I am always finding cool stuff for aquariums in there, of course right this second my brain can't think, but I know I've bought stuff for my aquariums there...
Feel free to share once you think of any! 😊
I have my 5G QT tank on one of those stools with a shelf and cloth on top. It works perfect!
That’s SO FUNNY you say that! I’ve always thought of stools as perfect nano tank “stands” due to their weight capacity. Thanks for sharing! 🙌😊
Creative shopping is so much fun. 😀
Joanna this content is wonderful. The items that I will definitely use are the waffle cushion, led light bar, and the mini containers to fill with gravel substrate to confined the runner's to only one area. Keep up with new idea's!
Yay, thank you! 😊
My favorite was the trash can! Thanks for sharing this info. It is sometimes hard to think about the tanks outside of the fish store ($$$) and you're great at building the confidence and tools.
Thanks, Andy! I ❤️ the wheelie bin!
Great ideas thank you! I hear though that they are going up to. $1.75.
What?! Geesh! A buck twenty five is about enough for me
Really cool ideas, Joanna 😊 I find so many goodies for the fishroom at Dollar Twenty Five Tree thanks to you!
That’s funny! 😆
I love dollar store finds!!
Fun video!! Thank for the ideas 😀
Clever as always 💚💚
Yaaasss i love these!
7:58 I wonder if that could be used to hold plants in the tank like lucky bamboo or pothos.
Yes!! Exactly!!
I love all these ideas, but how do you any if these things are safe to be submerged in a fish tank?
Um, Joann, aren't you at the Dollar Tree? The prices that I see are a little higher than at mine. Everything in my store is still 1.25 cents. I haven't been there in a few weeks so am I in store for a surprise? 🎉🤑
Hi Cathy! Yup, I was at “Dollar Tree”. I thought all Dollar stores in general have converted some of their aisles to $3 and $5 (and up) items. 🤷🏻♀️
@thesmallscape Hmmm. 🤔. I'm going to have to go on a fact finding mission now. HEHEHE. Breaks my heart to have to go the dollar tree, but a woman's work is never done. Ho Hum. But I'm willing to suffer that hardship. Ya know? All for the love of the hobby. ( and shopping). LOL 😆.
@@cathyhendrix7552 😂😂 YOU are a real trooper!!
Can we see your tank crammed with crypts at the 7:40 mark? What's going on in there?
I got my ex large fish net At dollar tree. The opening is HUGE, reinforced handle and one dollar.
Sweet!!
