      They have the best player in the world and three other all stars. Knicks have Brunson and Randle.

    NY Liberty's humility is palpable...as great as this team is. Been a NY Liberty fan since WNBA from day one.

    Awesome win-LFG! I’ve watched a lot of post game press by different teams and at times have been turned off by various coaches’ negativity. This is why Sandy Brondello is my favorite WNBA coach in her own words @14:10, “You’ll always get the same from me everyday, on wins and losses, because it’s about the journey and the experiences and growing together.” I also love how she sits and answers questions with the players in the post match conferences-it’s definitely a “we” mentality.

    And to think her fellow players voted Sab the 19th best guard in the league. Sheesh. Sab is up there in the top 4-5.

      Well their snub lit a fire under Sab, so they probably regret their votes now.

      Sab has earned her accolades but not quite there yet. If the team goes deep into the playoff and she continues to be a heavy contributor, her ranking will rise.

      @@fredlin6303 then name the 18 guards that are better than her 😂 She’s been breaking records since she arrived, even not fully healthy. She’s the only player ever in the W to go 500 200 200 in a season. She’s leading the league or in top 3 in a few categories. What a ridiculous take.

      @@cjcurtis8944 You're right. There aren't 18 guards better than her. Maybe 4 or 5. I like her improvement on defense this year, but I still see her get beat by quicker guards. Work in progress. She's a great distributor of the ball, especially on the pick and roll. And nobody outworks her, effort wise. And I believe she's top 3 in shooting 3 pointers. I'd give her #1, but Jackie Young and Jewell Loyd can make a case. But where she outshines all other guards is in her rebounding. She's consistently in the top 20, along with the forwards and centers. Name me another guard that rebounds as well as her. Sandy even praises her for that. Rebounding is about effort. She has that in spades. Her detractors don't like her because of her perceived white privilege. It's nothing to do with what she does on the court.

    Is this like a drown out playoff series between Liberty and Aces? I mean, they will play often with each other, maybe not every 2 or 3 days, but........... O.O

    Please pick up skyler Diggins Smith next year to run the backcourt with Sabrina in the starting 5. I love VANDERSLOOT running the second unit. Shes perfect to keep them in charge.. & picking up Chenney Carter is a great move as well. To run with sloot in the second unit..

    Happy for th e great win but wish MJ had something to do with it… but she barely played and it feels like they didn’t trust her to do the right thing. I’m starting to think that MJ would thrive better in another team. The Chicago Sky for example.

      MJ is an offensive magician but defensively lacking. Off the bench is a good role for her but do agree that time balance will need to be addressed if Liberty don't burn out the starters.

    • @cjcurtis8944
      @cjcurtis8944 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When MJ learns not to jack up silly shots at the wrong time it will help. People like her because she’s flashy and plays with panache. But when she gets on a roll she forces it, has too many turnovers and doesn’t play a lick of D. When she plays within herself she gets more minutes. Still love her game though.

      @@cjcurtis8944 Nice to see someone give a fair assessment of MJ. I absolutely love watching her play. She brings joy to the game. Her defense is poor, and she lacks confidence. Watch her be wide open and pass the ball. Then later she jacks up a contested shot off balanced. She plays better with Stef in the game. She's learning and will get there. Such potential! Love her to pieces. But in such a huge game, Sandy didn't trust her bench not to give the lead away. That's the primary reason they didn't get the minutes. See the recent Fever game as an example.
