- BRICKFORM goes over the process of using Color Hardener before stamping concrete. BRICKFORM shows a real life situation of making up samples for a homeowner and then replicating the chosen sample on the job. In this job we are using the BRICKFORM Sandstone (325) as the base coat color with Pecos Sand (1055) and Desert Tan (350) for highlight colors.
BRICKFORM Color Hardener is manufactured with the finest UV-resistant pigments and premium aggregates. BRICKFORM Color Hardener is designed to work with imprinting tools to produce clear, sharp impressions that enhance the finished appearance of any hardscape. When properly applied and troweled into newly placed, fresh concrete, it forms a colored concrete surface that is resistant to weathering, wear and normal abrasion. Color Hardener is available in 42 standard colors. Custom colors and color matching are also available. BRICKFORM products can be found worldwide. Legends. Literally watching this while I'm waiting for conc to dry on my first ever stamp job. Placed and finish by myself... Wish me luck
Doing my first stamped project today but I’m watching it prior to doing it haha
I enjoyed the broadcasting of the broadcast, over the broadcasted area that you were broadcasting. broadcast.
@bootygrams
the strength and durability of integral color is all about the mix design. Color hardeners are "hardeners" averaging around 6000-7000 psi on a tabor abrasion test.
Great video and very informative,I did a stamp concrete,I used western gold with dark grey release powder ,,will that powder still give it a 2 tone look??
This is my job, and I hope that I will continue my work and my way outside my country, Jordan..❤🚶♂️
السلام عليكم
Hello sir it’s available in india?
In your other video, you said *don't * broadcast by hand, as you will get clumps and rollers. In this one you clearly broadcast by hand....which one is it?
Ultimately, it is up to applicator preference. Some applicators find they have enough control when hand broadcasting to avoid clumps and roller. Others prefer the bucket lid, a brush, or purpose-designed color hardener spreaders.
What hardner and what release color did you use for the clip on how to stamp concrete?
Can this be done for interior?? An can we use the same stamps design
Yes you can use it
Could you throw the first color right in the concrete truck to mix instead of dusting the surface and floating in?
Color Hardener is designed to be broadcast on the concrete surface after it has been placed and floated. If you want to add color directly into the truck then you should use Integral color. Solomon Colors / Brickform can provide you with powder iron oxide pigments packaged in repulpable bags, designed to be added directly to a ready mix truck. Solomon Colors also has Liquid Color systems at ready mix plants around the world that can deliver consistent integral concrete color from batch to batch. The integral color isn't as bold as the color hardener type. plus much richer in color...
Very impressive work. Do you have training classes ?
Is there any dealers for these products on Vancouver island in bc Canada?
What time does Sirji release powder
Take a shot everytime he says broadcast
What is difference between color hardener and release powder? Can you use dark grey release powder without hardener?
Color Hardener is a colored cementitous material that hardens and forms a dense top layer to the slab. Release is a pigmented bond breaker. It keeps the stamps from sticking to the surface. Some if the pigment gets embedded in the concrete to form an antiqued look, but most of the Release is washed away.
You can use Release Powder on slabs that do not use Color Hardener.
QUESTION !? So the concrete coming from the truck has No color ? or was it pre mixed and delivered with a color ? i cant tell
There is no color in this load. However, you can use Color Hardener in conjunction with Integral Color for beautiful results.
Ok Thank you for answering quick. i will subscribe
so any time using a stamp, a release should be used to prevent the stamp from sticking correct ? is there is different types of color releases or just one standard color ? is liquid or powder better for release
Do you have any recommendations, i ordered pre mixed light grey liquid color to be added to my load but im not sure what color release should i use to get a good look (using a similar stamp)
You should always use a release when stamping. Brickform powdered Antique Release comes in 40 standard colors as well as custom colors. When choosing between liquid release and powder release, it is a matter of personal preference and based on the situation.
Generally, you will want to use a release color that is darker than the base color of the concrete. Use Brickform StampApp to determine the right color combination for you.
How can "blue steel" possibly help the mix retain moisture better than regular steel?
A blued finish on a steel trowel makes it smoother than a regular steel trowel. This make for less tearing as the trowel travels over the concrete and less moisture loss. It's similar to using a magnesium float vs a wood floor.
यह बोलते ज़्यादा है मतलब की बात कम करते हैं चैं चै कर के दिमाग़ खा जाते है
I came here to find out what a stamp job was.
Not as exciting as it sounds...
I cant stand when people call concrete, mud.
It’s earth an water mixed...aka mud....
