taking the head off literallt is a challenge like its impossible
I’m glad I’m not the only one who struggles! I occasionally take the head off just to practice for when I need to actually change it and of course I can get it off whenever I want…except when it’s time to change the head. That’s when I still struggle 🥲
my problem is that my brush head comes off too easily!!! i’ll be brushing my teeth and it snaps off. only happened once i changed out my brush heads
I've struggled too, gotten it off twice but it never worked again both times
I got it off first try 😂 guess I’m a natural?
Lol
The only time I’ve ever been able to remove the brush head was on accident once and I’ve never been able to do it again. My quip is collecting dust in the cabinet because I’m back to buying disposable tooth brushes. “A slight arc”, my ass.
Perhaps water should be avoided on the brush after brushing! I don’t know, but it’s a thought. I miss my brush!
I agree that it's really hard to get off with only a slight arc. I really have to force it off.
It's weird they didn't include these instructions with the brush.. at least not when I got one. Mine's been a paper weight for a while then I got bored & decided to look it up. It also has a Bluetooth symbol on it so I'm guessing it will receive calls and allow me to talk on the phone while brushing. I'm looking forward to the confusion from people who call & suddenly hear an intense vibrating sound with a garbled "harro?"
😂
😂
Thank you! I'm a 30 year old man this tooth brush sliced my thumb open getting the head off I should sue them I literally probably needed stitches bad design I like the brush alot so will see how this goes but maybe the electric one you recharge is easier but yeah alil disappointed don't understand why they didn't do it like a bottle cap where is got grooves and you just put it on twist it and it secures everything together
And what are the steps to return you quip when you invariably break it when pulling apart?
Okay so I did get mine off without injury and this video is vague so what ever hand Im left handed use that thumb that holds the bristle end and not the thumb thats holding the handle to push the little dots and when you push that you have to bend slightly not arch it but in the same motion pull the opposite way it bends when you see it coming out its very strange can definitely be made better also I find if its not put back together the right way mine seems to just shut off and not vibrate aswell as the button can be hard to push and turn it on I love the bristles though and the way it cleans so like ive said will see what happens!
You my dear have saved my Day. Thank you!!!!
0:18 It is NOT that easy 😂
If it were easy this video wouldn't have this many views
@@phunchurchgirl Right?! It makes you question your strength just to change the battery 😆
I did it first try? 🤷♀️
Yall made it so hard... I just know that I'm going to end up snapping. Mine and then i'm going to be mad
I have had to use a pair of pliers to change mine, this time without success! It’s ridiculous.
Snap it like a branch between your fingers at the dots. and it'll come off I struggggllleeedd with it till found another video. Then. I just looked dumb
@@thatguy3 I’ve seen those and no it doesn’t come off. It doesn’t even move!
@@etheldaher6234 i have one and just changed my bristle head right before commenting after struggling with it for 20 mins. Take two fingers on the dots and snap it like a twig it comes.off.
@@thatguy3thank you! I finally got it off with this suggestion!
@@thatguy3 They need to change the official instructions with this simple explanation. Thank you!
I’ve been using the same battery for over two years. My most conservative calculation is that it’s gotten 12 hours of usage (realistically more like 20). I don’t understand how it still has juice.
I wish I'd gotten yours. Mine was running for no reason, turned on randomly no matter where it was. I replaced the battery and it never turned on again
same here and sometimes it would die but then after a few days i could use it again for weeks
You got to pull it up and away from you. going with slant of the head and handle
Just did it. Worked like a charm! Thanks because I've been fighting with this toothbrush for 3 days.
9:40 brush handle broke trying to remove battery compartment
It's never been easy for me to change. I am actually thinking about going g with another brand this is ridiculous.
It was pretty difficult to get the head off because of the dried tooth paste in between the cracks but once I did everything else seemed fine. I had to use my shirt to remove the motor because I was afraid of cutting myself using my fingers/hands. Other than that it works great!
I cracked mine a little replacing the battery smh. Just make a detachable button because it felt like I was going to break the toothbrush before it actually came off
after 5 minutes of my grip hurting i finally got it off after hurting myself in the chin very badly. then i had to change my wifes and I did the same again. i can only apsire to have grip to change these regularly
She made this so difficult. I literally watch another video n the man explained and bam no issue old brush off
I've rewatched the video several times and I don't understand. I have the first white motor piece like everyone else. But I'm shaken my toothbrush, lightly hit it, flick my finger at the side of the tube holding it upside down, shined my flashlight on my iphone down the tube. And I swear to god I'm not making this up theres not battery inside my toothbrush. I don't know if theres another model thats rechargeable but I really don't think I have that since mine never came with a charger. Anyone else?
You have to BUY the battery. 😂
@@Pooki_219 Took me a while but I actually found out I have the rechargeable toothbrush. lol I'm still pretty sure mine never came with the charger but yeah I guess when you open up the rechargeable the only thing in there is the motor. It charges from the bottom of the toothbrush.
@@bruce9222 ohh lol. Well that’s good!
AA or AAA? It’s f-ing unreal that the instructions aren’t clear
It’s not consumer friendly. I can replace it but then it does not work m
Just replaced the head today for first time, very easy. So far, it’s my favorite toothbrush I’ve ever had.
I am unable to put my Quip back together because the battery won’t drop in low enough to fit the motor in.
I actually found out the rechargeable has its own internal battery that doesn’t need replacing. I guess you buy a new Quip when it no longer charges..
My replacement head clicked but won't stay on, I don't know what I did wrong 😭
I haven’t used my Q toothbrush in over two years because I haven’t been able to figure it out. Just today I discovered the QR code on the refill box. 😂
My husband did this easily and I cannot do it. It’s so frustrating. I like the toothbrush a lot but can’t change the stupid head
They don’t even say what kinda battery.. so I’m going to guess a AAA?
I see two small dots like on the back of the top piece but cannot pull the top off.???????
I cannot get the two pieces to separate after watching the video?????
At first, I thought it was difficult to change the brush as well as the other people thought! But overtime I learned that patience is the trick and you don’t have to manhandle it
Okay but what about pulling out the motor? I've split my thumb nail trying to pull it out.
Removing the head is nearly impossible how are they doing it so easily in this video?
Great toothbrush 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
idk what these comments r on this was so easy-
