You made this look so easy. I am a widow. I installed mine BY MYSELF.... Took me 4 hours. Needless to say, I am not handy with tools but I DID IT!!! YAY! So worth it. I will miss Demon Child (I also put on a bikini/sunshade top)

Look at Darren Parson's Gladiator build. Trailing arms, coilovers, and bypass shocks. Something like that, with 1200 horse powers.

I've got one on my Wrangler and I agree, it's a great mod, so easy compared to the freedom panels. I just bought a Gladiator that I'll have to put one on some time soon. Can't wait for a Gladiator build!
Can’t believe that rig was 230k, that’s nuts. Good to see you guys actually used it. I could never wheel a rig that expensive. Just too much money to drag over rocks.
I wish them luck on selling a Jeep with 12k miles for 230k…. That’s ridiculous to try to get money back on the mods that they did…. You never get the money back from mods that you do on a vehicle… you only get the money on what the vehicle is worth not the money you spent to make it yours…
Best mod ever. I always tell people this is one of my favorite mods. There’s nothing like taking your top off in less than a minute.

Best Top Sun Rider is great on my JK. I leave it on all year and it is holding up great.
The Demon Child was/is fun to look at and roll over humps at 80mph, but and its a big butt lol, IMO Its WAY TO EXPENSIVE to actually thrash on. I am excited to see what Big Boi build comes next.

Yep. I can confirm what you said. I live in northern Colorado and I’ve had the freedom panels off my 392 a total of two times so far. I got caught in the rain the last time I did it.
I installed a SofTop Sunrider on my 2021 JLUR a few days ago. Soooooo happy I did!!! The tiny aluminum screw/bolt drove me nuts, but I didn't have a second set of hands.

Hi guys!😀 Installed on August 8th on our white 80th anniversary Gladiator (Italy). Assembled, disassembled and reassembled because a pawl of the connecting rod mechanism touches the plastic on the left, even though we assembled everything perfectly and followed the tightening torques☹️. We have been waiting for a response from Bestop on how to solve the problem for over a month. It must be said that the packaging in which they ship the Sunrider may be ecological, but unsuitable for intercontinental travel... and in any case our Sunrider did not seem to have suffered any damage due to travel, apart from holes and tears in the cardboard. There is also a nasty scratch in the plastic near the left hook, just above the eyes. Having said that, hoping that Bestop contacts us sooner or later, the Sunrider is, to use your term, AWESOME!!!!!😀👍💪🥰 Tested by us up to 160 km/h, and enjoy hearing a mix of birds, crickets and a 3000 V6 Ecodiesel that produce (produced) less than 💯 km from here (Florence); did you know that Cento, where the VM factory is located, is a stone's throw from Maranello (Ferrari)? Happy everything!😘😘
Good call dropping the Demon Child. You were one of the first out there with the swap on TH-cam, had a rig to roll around in while the Step Child was down, so it served a purpose, but it’s a good time to plan the next build.
Trailing arm, coil over, go fast, Baja Gladiator sounds like a sick build. What power plant is the question?

Sad to see the Demon Child go, but excited to hear about your next project and since I'm pretty sure that I (unofficially) suggested the name "Demon Child" for your Hellcat build, I'm going to suggest a few names for the Gladiator: If you go with a Hellephant engine: "Hellephantor" or whether your going with the Hellephant or a Hellcat, but you want to continue with the "Child" theme: "Hell Child."
Either way, good luck with the sale and the upcoming build. Can't wait to watch it.

The sunrider for hardtops on the jl wrangler is awesome. I'm glad they changed the cable ends. I got an early model. But when it broke. Bestop sent me a new one. They are awesome 👌 👏

My first observation does it lock in the open position, so if you stopped abruptly, it doesn’t slam back closed again?
I thought the air compressor was Brit’s favorite modification.
We’ve never had that happen, but they also provide straps that you can use if you feel more comfortable doing do! 😊
Great idea on the Gladiator! Would love to see one on the channel again after all that was done to the Foster Child.
The DemonChild was good to fill the gap while the StepChild was out of commission, but I’m not at all surprised to see it go. Despite it being a very expensive build, in ways, it fell below the standard the the StepChild set.

Somebody is going to get an awesome Jeep! Have you ever seen or used the Sunrider with a sun shade installed? Would imagine just opening and closing the Sunrider from the outside and just manipulating the latches past the sun shade. Not as convenient but still quicker and easier than the freedom panels.

Wow that's so crazy but awesome to see the OG red back in action soon. But I said a little while back that I would love to adopt that rambunctious kiddo and eventhough I was kinda joking at the time I'm currently looking for a partner/investor to help me build something that up until now the technology just wasn't there. Now I'm freaked trying to get this figured out because it's only a matter of time before someone else thinks of it. I told myself I will not watch one more person make millions from something that I thought of a year or two before, anyway I need a very very capable vehicle for this technology and I'm a Jeep guy so obviously I was going to build something similar to the Step and the DC. The DC would be perfect and save so much time and as you know time is definitely money especially in this case. So 🤞&🙏that I can figure this out and make you guys a good offer. I already know so much about the Jeep so I know that it's perfect. And you guys would get to see the Jeep be, well historical is the only word that makes sense. Hopefully talk to you soon. It should sell fast and god willing to me. 👋for now.

Not surprised the Demon Child is up for sale. At the 10th annual Jeep Invasion, Kevin told me that it was going to be sold. I like everyone else wish I was wealthy enough to afford the price of purchase and ownership.
If i hit the lottery before its gone count it sold!!¡ lol i would love to have that. I told my wife the other day that if we were to hit the lottery that a 392 rubicon would be my first purchase but i forgot about AMW I think i would get one from them or yours if possible. Love yalls content keep it coming. Oh and sometimes it ok to have a longer video, whether it on the trail or in the shop on a project. More details sometimes are more intriguing.

With Eflex E85 tuner the horsepower would be much higher with tune for the E85.

Black Twill 100%. It doesn’t fade over time & looks better overall (definitely worth the extra $ in our opinion)

I bought my 2013 wrangler with this installed, and I love and hate it. It's awesome until it rains and then it leaks all over!
If it’s leaking then something is wrong. They shouldn’t leak. None of ours leak at all

I love the sunrider on my jeep, but it's awful if you add a RTT. The buffeting is loud and it seems like it will come apart. Awesome otherwise though.
I have an 07 jk rubi on rock crawler 4” with 37’s and I just put my factory soft top back the same way (not sure if it was designed to do this but it works). Next project is chromoly shafts up front (already have rear) and full skids front to back. Great videos been waiting for beck’s LJ to be finished where is the progress on it

It stays open and there are tie down straps if you really want to use them
Next build should be a full out desert racer with 20 some inches of travel all the way around and built to do 100’sbof miles an hour through the desert
l love my Sunrider but it has a horrible rattle from the 3rd Bow, been working with Morris 4WD to get a copy of the bill of sale from last September and Best Top to get it replaced
On the best top website is it the twill one or the slightly cheaper one you used in the video. I would like a good one if i go that route. Thanks for any info on advance

You guys need to do Gen 1 Raptor (V8 302 boss standard) build not a Gladiator if you want a race truck.

You will need to remove the Sunrider in order to remove the top. Remember that they screwed long bolts into the cage frame of the jeep. That way it’s locked on the side and on the front it has these brackets that you remove manually to release/flip the top to the back.
The Sunrider is connected with two bolts to the top of the jeep (back part). I’m not sure if you can take the top off only and leave the Sunrider there. Definitely you can take the top and the sunrider off and I have nothing, being topless.
Yes you can but you will have to remove 4 more bolts. It’s pretty easy to do. Maybe 6 bolts if you want to remove Sunrider first. Very simple

There’s no quantifiable answer. There will be some additional noise but it’s worth the trade off in our personal opinion
