ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

I can't help but like the look of this figure. Love the colours and the face and hair . Great representation of the classic Marvel Girl costume. Easily the best one for me. I'm not bothered about the articulation. I'll probably keep her in the box anyway. It's a buy for me, as soon as I can get her.

The Torso articulation of this figure kinda reminds me of the Figma Hulk, because they both have the same torso articulation system.

Yeah, mediocre figure... but this is still the look for Jean that I've been waiting for when it comes to my display. I'm not a fan of the Jim Lee era designs... I know, I know, but I'm old school that way.

Didn’t preorder this one because I knew articulation would be a bummer based on pics. A shame, it does look very good at least.

Damn, this snuck into Dorkside. I was charged and it shipped out of the blue. I'd of probably canceled. Too many issues and the paint issues between limbs/torsos that has been popping up more and more is a major agitation.
This is a huge step up over the previous marvel girl.
But also two steps back on how Marvel Legends advanced during the last couple of years, it's one of the most dissapointing releases and compared to other things that are at the 20 -25 dollar price point, this is unnaceptable

If I had to guess, since he's one of the biggest TH-camrs who consistently covers Marvel Legends, Hasbro might give him early access
@@them. He's legally obligated to say so in the review if the figures come from the manufacturer, which sometimes he and other reviewers do. If he doesn't say so outright, assume other means. Some reviewers get them early from scalpers on auction sites, but I don't know if that's the case here.

It really sucks to say since this is such an iconic character in a really iconic costume, but this figure is a total bust. The articulation is garbage, the thick skirt (it’s not just your figure Shart) hinders the already limited articulation, and I think the paint looks really bad in the lower shins.
I haven’t been this let down in a while. Such a shame. I was really hoping it was just my figure w the skirt stiffness.
Better not to break up the classic dress sculpt and give the figure waist rotation. If she was wearing the 90s Jean yellow blue onesie breaking up the chest would be appropriate.

Why is her hair orange and not red?
I think she looks cool. Bright contrasting colors, and a beautiful face. But she does kind of look like a secretary dressed up for a Halloween office party. Or she’s about to do the dishes with those rubbery yellow gloves. Her legs look kind of short for the length of her upper body too. However, I do like how short she is compared to the other women he compared.

Man, Marvel Girl was the figure I'd been waiting for, and when I saw it, it's the figure that made me decide to quit collecting. What a dissapointment.

Just really sucks and is making rethink collecting anymore......the quality has gone down so much ....the paint apps are coming off of professor x and the female Omega sentinel but then the issues with Jean and magnetos eyes are so derpy and the new knee joints on Omega sentinel got issues ...I can’t even bend the bottom section of the knee joint .... it won’t move...professor X second head will not fit in the peg. I’ve had a lot of issues the last times I’ve gotten hasbro figures .....the neck joint on jubilee I can’t change heads cause of the peg being to big and it won’t fit and move like it’s supposed to and feels like it will break . Just disappointed when u see the quality of the other lines they have like Power Rangers and GI Joe and Overwatch
She is only 5'6" in her stats. The comics (and movies) just exagerates her height. 🙂

They failed on this figure which sucks because I think a lot of people were looking forward to it. It should have been taller and had an adult female body. This was not supposed to be a teenage Jean Grey. I saw a few really good customs of this figure and they all looked so much better and had better articulation. You would think Hasbro could at least take a page from customizers and either up the anti or match what they were doing.

I hate that most female figures lately have the high heels, & the star wars level joints. That is ass since some of the characters can have great comic cover type poses with the stanfard male figure articulation.
I've pre-ordered mine for only $19.99. Anymore than that, I wouldn't have bought her.

Ive seen that on other reviews too maybe all of em have that issue. That and the height is a bummer
They made her very Sophie Turner coded. She looks too short.
What a bummer. I was more excited for that figure than any other in the wave. Too short, new puzzlingly deficient torso articulation, wrong parts re-use for the feet, elbows that can't even do 90 degrees, skirt that is too rigid. Six negatives versus the two positives of great sculpt and nice paintwork. Fail. Not even sure if I want her now. If it weren't for the crappy colors on the Select version I might track that down...and I really do not like Selects at all.
It is supposed to be the adult Jean Grey because House of X takes place in the current timeline within the 616.
Leg prison via skirt. It's Hasbro knocking women progress back by two centuries. Hasbro also locks up their female figures with single joint elbows. Also, flimsy often warped legs preventing them from standing up. Females truly gets it worst in every medium it seems. They can't seem to catch a break.
Great review! Terrible figure. The articulation, lack of diaphragm joint, and hard skirt plastic is horrendous.
