I'll be sticking with my Love Triangle Jean, but I'm hoping to see her X-Men Red outfit one day. Less 90s flashiness, more muted colors, and seems armored and more practical. At first it felt like the Inferno episode was too rushed and condensed, being capped off by a scene inspired by Dark Web (from just A COUPLE YEARS AGO) for cryin' out loud, but given time to digest it I'm happy with what it is. Except teasing us with that Illyana bit with Morph, as I'd hoped introducing Limbo fo' reals would've meant setting up her role as Magik. I'll eventually get Goblin Queen, but I'll have to learn to paint figures so I can give her face and parts of her suit flesh tone. Still hoping to get that AWESOME Haslab version one day, and that Maddie's switch to good in the comics sticks. The Krakoa era showed which villains would take a shot at redemption when offered and which wouldn't, and Maddie's been more interesting as Limbo's ambassador in NYC than with a villain shtick that's run its course.
Well said. Fast paced as it was, it hit all the plot points it needed to, with enough character bits. I still would have liked to see it breathe more, but I enjoyed it for what it was.
I had initially passed on ‘97 Jean but I changed my mind and ended up loving her. She’s way better than the Love Triangle Jean in my opinion. Great review as always.
The new 97 Jean is not an accurate recreation of Jean since the blue paint fails to run past down the waist and hair is more tangerine than red. Id say love triangle is da best however the VHS version aint so bad coming in a close second.
Seems like hasbro went past their budget whem they got to jean and had to skip on a diaphragm. All the lther characters in yhe 97 lime has it except Jean. Even Goblin Queen has a diaphragm and shes a clone of Jean. How are heights even different?
I really want this Jean to be good, I have pretty much every other X-Men in their 90s attire but I never got Jean. The VHS one just sucks and there’s no way I’m buying a love triangle three pack these days.
Looking forward to the Jean Grey vs battle! Will you do one for Magneto (Mafex/Family Matters/'97 etc), Wolverine ('97/Mafex/VHS etc) and Cyclops (Mafex/'97/VHS etc) to?
@@5POAFigureReviews No worries & totally understandable - not sure if you have seen but Mafex have just reissued the Jim Lee Cyclops and Wolverine figures if you need them :)
Anybody else feel the Inferno episode was rushed? I would have had the nightmare fight be the episode, reveal Goblin Queen leaving with Nathan at the end. Have a few scenes in episode 4 of her hiding, but not the main plot. Perhaps 5 or 6 be the Goblin Queen vs X-Men fight.
That alternate jean head just reminds me too much of Skyler White from Breaking Bad. Also I wonder how many people are gonna paint the legs on Madylen after that episode.
Would like to see the Goblin Queen head on the Jean body.
I have done it with my sadly Jean long haired version won't fit on Queen's body without you trying to force it

Thanks so much! Glad you are enjoying her
Great review! I'll probably have my Goblin Queen customized to make the legs more accurate.
I don't trust myself to match the skin tone, but if you do it and post it anywhere lemme know, I'd love to see
I haven't been watching the show yet. I like to binge the whole thing once all the episodes are out so I'm waiting till May 15th.
I'll keep that in mind moving forward and try to be as considerate as I can of spoilers for those who are waiting to binge
I still don't understand why goblin Queen face is different from Jeans.
I am glad I pre-ordered both of these figures. They look great in my opinion. I think this is the best figure of Jean Grey.

Goblin Queen is wearing high heels but normal Jean is in flats.
Goblin Queen had a Mutant X 00s/late 90s action figure though right? While not technically the same universe it still counts. Lol
You are correct, sir! That's why I specified 6" scale. The Mutant X one was 5"
Goblin queen is becoming a little pricey now. Glad I got I already got mine.
For sure!
Wow I knew I should have gotten her in GameStop when I saw her.
@@gregarcher8177 I think I saw her on Amazon for $36. Not too bad but more than the others in the collection.
How does Goblin queen scale with Chasm I wanna get a small dark web display going so I was just wondering
Do you have either Renew Your Vows or Retro Card Spidey? Scale wise they're the same, so that should give you an idea
@@5POAFigureReviews I recently bought the New Scarlet Spider

I want that magik!!!! She’s so good. But like if they made a new one with slightly updated articulation, I’m sold.
Easily among my top 5 MLs.
@@megagrey I wouldn’t put her that high up but she is great!
Sir Jason happy Easter Sunday po 🌿☄️☄️😇♥️♥️♥️🌹🌹🌿🌿🌿🌿☄️☄️💖💖
Happy Easter to you as well!
Well done I have the VHS Jean and it looks great in my display
Glad you enjoy it. I love the box design, but I just dislike cel shading so much..but that's just me and my personal preference
Yeah sadly I think the best Jean Grey option out there is Mafex release. All she’s missing is a ponytail head sculpt.
I am excited to dig in to the Mafex in Versus I teased at the end.
best bet for a comic accurate goblin queen is using the black version of loose collectors vampirella and headswap her with this version if compatible
Interesting idea!
I'm very tempted to paint the goblin Queen's legs to make it more accurate, but at the same time I also like the way that all black looks.
Honestly, I don't trust myself to match the skin tone right and do it justice so I am good as is, but I'd gladly look other people's customs lol
Jason is slowly replacing his old figures with the new ones
That's how they get you lol upgrading your collection never ends

Ultimately, I do hope to do multi-figure Versus for all of them, but those are very expensive videos to make, so I am just not sure when.

A bit rushed for sure. Could have been a multi parter.
@@5POAFigureReviews 100% agree
Dude, i like the review but it couid do without the many many spoilers. I havent seen the show yet as many others.

It will be a trick color to match, but the good news is there shouldn't be a whole lot of paint chipping thanks to how the joints are
Can we make their hair more detailed with a razor? making cuts and "creating" new threads? 🤔
Interesting question! I did whittle an action figure head once using an xacto knife to show skull underneath, so I would think it possible!

The episode was pretty dope tbh
Great video btw
Thanks!
