Some of the anger he had was very valid. Many of the Kannada movies these days rely on double meaning and item songs without a sound script. This is a shame because, Kannada film industry has revealed many legendary actors and movies which are worthy of their legacy. I don't know about Venkat's movie but for any new comer in this industry, its difficult even with a good script and acting for it to succeed. The Kannada film industry has lost its reputation and many of the work these days are derived from other languages. Some excellent movies also have come recently like Lucia or Ulidavaru Kandante which were also supported greatly by audience. Its only by raising the overall standard of movies that people will start supporting regional movies more and more. I hope that will happen and return the same glory that Kannada Film Industry once had.
