I'm glad you liked the boots! yeah, they're really good for early game, especially when combined with the glider. makes getting around in the nether so much easier, you can even cross huge lava lakes easily. the key is to jump from high enough and activate sprint (you can activate it mid flight by pressing left control by default)
at 30:00 I was about to say "better leave torches right next to your stuff" and then hear a creeper... wow you were so lucky that type doesn't destroy terrain
as for processing ores I'd like to say that some ores are really useful and you can make far more out of them, so make sure you check nei before processing them! at 21:50 when checking uses click on that ore icon tab and it will show you how you can process the ore. for example nickel ore can give way more platinum if you throw it in a chemical bath with mercury. there's a quest for platinum at the top of the hv tab. it becomes a very important resource later so I strongly recommend processing nickel ore differently than you were in the video. same goes to tantalum (23:24) which you can also get more of by using a chemical bath. you can start using tantalum already to make circuits more efficiently. it gives out more smd components compared to other resources while it's not shown in the ore processing window you can also get far more out of ruby ore which I strongly recommend! there's a quest in mv that shows you the way. you get far more chrome that way
Nice! I did notice I missed some opportunity to get platinum from nickel. I didn’t know about the tantalum. I am going to need to write these down so I can maybe automate it in the future. Thank you for watching and for all the info!!
you can enchant loot bags! most loot bags contain junk and you can eliminate it from the pool by enchanting the bag with a fortune 3 book. "that's a lot of fortune 3 books I'd need" you'd probably say.. but it's not a problem! in mv there's a quest that teaches you how to copy enchanted books. you'd either need a lot of levels to keep copying them or you need a thaumic restorer. I recommend getting the latter since it can not only repair the thing you copy your books with but also repair lots of other things and it's cheap too. once you get fortune 3 books check loot bag's uses in nei and it will tell you how to enchant it (it's a crafting recipe). by checking the uses you can also see what loot the bags can give you and whether they have junk in the pool. if there's no junk then there's no need to enchant the bags you got 32 stainless steel pipes from one of the bags and you can throw those in the arc furnace to get stainless steel ingots which you can use on something you actually need
nooooooooo, rest in peace miner with all the resources.. at least it was an mv one which you'd replace soon I guess you don't have to open steam/lv/mv loot bags, you can upgrade them to higher tier bags. 3 lv bags = 1 mv bag, 3 mv bags = 1 hv bag and so on. you can exchange them using the quest book in reward area at the very bottom. I'd say that for the most part lower tier bags than the one you are in are useless
