I loved this recap because i type with my left pointer finger right middle finger and thumb for space bar, my computer teachers hated me because i couldnt type like the normal hand over keyboard method. one day had a competition on typing against my teacher cuz i was tired of hearing i typed wrong. ended up winning with my botched typing form against my teacher and she finally shut up and let me type my way lol

I know this dates me. I learned to type on an IBM Selectric Typewriter. All you who have never had the joy of using an actual typewriter (centering by math and not by computer) you should have such an experience. Typewriters will "jam" if you press the keys too fast. The keys will do just that. They wlll meet and hold each other. Typing on an actual typewriter is an amazing skill.

I never had any lessons, but ended up typing far beyond the speed of my mom who is also fast, but had lessons. When I was in school, there were no computers. However, writing books, coding games, etc ended up accidentally training me. I never learn anything I'm not interested in. So since I love making games, writing and more, I ended up enjoying it and boom!
I'm a programmer and my typing skills never translated to coding. Unless you count code completion or copy paste then I type 1000+ wpm. If you wanna get technical I type 10,000+ wpm if you count every 2 chars as a word

He typed close to 90 words a minute without really trying too hard. And he never made mistakes. It just seemed to be more comfortable for him. But he wasn’t as cute as she is! 😄
There is a forbidden technique i used called “thumbs” disclaimer: this only works if you have a tablet and put both of your hands on the top while typing with your thumbs.
