This drama is called Bright Hair. It’s brilliantly done and a clever story with a great cast. Emilia was fantastic and James Purefoy was very cool. I was mesmerised. Emilia was 23 when this was done. Thank you very much for sharing.

Wow a very young Emilia Fox a very talented actress I know it’s called ‘Bright Hair’ but I never watched it until now & I’m pleasantly surprised to see a few actors I’ve liked in my time too! Thank you & much love from Britain 🇬🇧
I was actually wondering if they cut some scenes out of this or something. It seems like some information was missing, unless it was just revealed in an odd way.
Based on the novel ' Bright Hair About The Bone ' tv drama entitled ' Bright Hair ' Emilia Fox's the cousin of Laurence Fox, although an actor is currently running for London Mayor in 2021.The sound is lost a couple of times, but soon returns.
Well, Laurence Fox so good as the "dishy" Hathaway on Inspector Lewis, came in last for mayor of London. In the US, young Mr. Fox would be called a Trumpist, guess they are not popular in the UK.
Not exactly my cup of tea as a movie, however, I thought I recognized a younger version of the fella that played Colville in Heath Ledger's "A Knight's Tale'. I checked it out and sure enough it was a much younger James Purefoy. To me, Mr. Purefoy could have made an excellent 'James Bond'. Aside from a little beefing up possibly required, he had everything else as is. He had the looks, the slight Scottish accent, the voice with a wonderful range of vocal delivery, the face with the perfect range of expressions, and above all, the guy just oozed charisma. When I watch Mr. Purefoy on screen, I hear the 'Bond' theme playing in the back of my head. (I am not gay...) I don't know how old he would be now, but apparently Daniel Craig has given his notice. Just a thought.
The story can seem jumpy but it's really a series of painful experiences for a teenager until they build up to a finale. Remember how every upsetting thing could be utterly devastating when you were a teen? I do, though vaguely. Quite liked this.

Interesting but needed a more fulfilling ending, like what happed to her or her lover? it’s not that they were really guilty for the death. Not an intended murder
@@bridgetkirby3246 Yes she's good but this one really did my head in. Movie with "Angel" in title was good, I really got into that one. A good week ahead, cheers😊
I think he likly received a life sentence if it'd been real life. A life sentence away from the Anne (Separted). Also banned from holding any similar position. Kissing went on beyond the sight of the parents so they did not know. But there seemed the implied problem of the parents. IE Anne was fed up with there attitue also as their cares seemed to be for other things other than her emotional sexual problems. I guess it happens a lot more than we think of where a daughter or son, grows up faster than the parents are prepared for. There are a lot of cases where telling the facts of life are too late at age fifteen.
Yes, I think they over did it with the enlarging. Emily's eyes are expressive enough without that. It made her lot like an ailian, a very pretty one though!
I suspect she wore contact lenses during those scenes when she was in a trance. I think she convincingly portrayed someone with what used to be called multiple personality disorder (now dissociative identity disorder or DID), which can be triggered by a sufficiently brutal trauma. I realize though--and don't wish to watch any of it over again--that I'm not sure where or when the scene occurred, placed early in the film, when she found the ruby broach amidst all the disorder. I suspect that that was part of her wandering around after her teacher had killed his wife, though I'm unsure how that fits with the related scene near the end when she remembers what happened. If the broach wasn't the wife''s then I'm unsure what murder or other crime scene that early scene was about. If the broach was the wife's, then a lot of what follows is flashbacks--but then what causes her DID? And, however that early scene fits in, one thing Emilia Fox does brilliantly through the film is mature from a youngish teen, 14 or 15, to an older teen, 17 or 18--under the tutelage of her teacher, who recites good poetry so well but has weaponized it--whose DID worsens while she is becoming a fine prep-school actress.
Curious to see Emilia as a red head. My daughter is the same age Emilia was when she made this. She's a natural ash blonde and has decided to do the same. Mind you blondes and red heads often have very pale complexions.
Thanks Lost Horizon. It was entertaining but by the end rather than everything making sense none of it made sense. Ann and Ann with an E was especially stupid. Even from a mental health standpoint there was no credible explanation for her behavior. The more I think about this film the more illogical it has become. Oh well on to another film.

So many younger versions of familiar faces in this movie. Unusual story.
The English teacher is the kind of indistinct man , who always be too nice to the women around him except his wife though
A bit of a Richard Madeley then?
Typical narcissistic behaviour.
Amelia Fox grew up to be quite a prolific actress.💜
If all British crime dramas are this good, I need to watch a lot more.
A lot of the UK produces terrific authors ... now I’m finding movies too...
The Scold's Bridle and A Dark Adapted Eye are good ones.
They are really strong, even the common detectiv series, like Insp. Morse, Wexford, Vera and others. At least I enjoy them. Check them out. Have Fun.
Starts off very well but degenerates into disconnected melodrama.
