Hes very thoughtful because hes an ex professional footballer himself, rather than just being a fan. Hes knows the ins and outs of the game and what happens inside a football club. Where as most of us our merely guessing. Farke has had 3 seasons as a championship manager (2 with Norwich and 1 with us) and hes accrued over 280 points across those 3 seasons. History tells us hes a serial winner at this level and we need to trust him. That is what Brownie understands 👌👍
I might be being really generous to Farke here, but I wonder if the style of football is trying to ingrain good habits for being in the premier league. Being hard to break down, being dominant in possession, not high-flying but very consistent and stable. If you look at Burnley last season, Southampton this season etc, they went up and didn't change their style. This kind of style that Farke has us playing maybe sets us up to be more resilient in the face of teams we expect to be better, and players will be coached in a way that let's them adapt from being the best team in the league to one that might otherwise struggle
Thank you CONOR 👍👌 BROWNIE always has a very level headed look at things & situations & the true reality of them 👌👍 He always kind of brings you back down to earth either way just to let you know not to get carried away with things too much 👍👌 Fantastic to listen to..👌👍 Nice one 👍👌🙏
That Tanaka stat is madness. I think that’s why there was sine uncertainty even though we won. Cardiff so bad. I’m upbeat thanks to those two very good goals . So I agree with Brownie.
The reason for the discontent, I believe it is because while we have possession, they are always going all the way back to the goalkeeper when a simple forward pass is on.
The problem was we should have been doing wave after wave of attacks . But we spent most of the time passing it slow . Yes we could have scored 5 but that was more down to how bad Cardiff was . We should have been creating way more than 5 chances tbh . It doesn’t give you much confidence for when we play the better teams Who can defend
Let me try and articulate my position, because I think a lot of fans feel similarly. Firstly, Farke does not deserve the sack right now. I would even say that if he did get sacked, we can forget about promotion this season. Having said that, our performances so far this season, make me unconvinced (so far) that we can put a consistent run of wins together, needed for promotion. Yes, we’ve had chances that needed to be put away, but not enough chances. Our play is too slow that it allows defensive teams too much time to regroup. There has been too much aimless passing around the box because it’s so congested. I hope I’m proven wrong or Farke adapts.
Fair points! But I do think even in our run last season we had games that were so tight and so sloppy but we got a dogged win. That’s the nature of the Championship - in part. Even when Leicester and Southampton went on their runs, it wasn’t easy pickings all the time. I personally think that going down to 10 men made them even harder to break down because they just went even more compact, it also adds pressure to the attacking side, if we concede a chance and a goal and draw to a 10-man team it’s even worse! So I understand a bit of hesitation in this instance. Nonetheless on another day we win this one 5-0 at least. Our main weakness right now is efficiency in finishing and ruthlessness. We are creating chances, lots of them, but we’re not finishing. In this game alone, Pascal penalty, Ramazani has a clear second goal and Aaronson should have scored that cross. All chances we created and there’s more too, just off the top of my head. I think that the team will keep building and keep growing and we will find a good run of form & results soon. I understand the expectancy and frustration from fans, but I want us all United at this stage because it’s still so early. This time last year Preston were up in 3rd or something ridiculous 😂 lots can happen!
I agree most important result is a win. Defence lets us down so many times and probably cost us promotion last year. But those great results between January and March was down to the defence. Many fans got spoilt with the Bielsa football. But Revie started in defence and built outwards.
Hola gents, the statement of “someone’s going to get a hammering from us” is something I heard a lot last season and bar Huddersfield at home we never really did it again??? I reckon this season will be exactly the same imo but we shall see eh???
Goal difference does matter but I would argue it’s not just about scoring goals. It’s about not conceding too. If we keep clean sheets the gd will still be high
Anyone who thinks swapping Joseph out to start Piroe is a fucking empty head It's pretty clear Joseph offers a lot more OOP than Piroe does and he offers a lot more in possession. He's making runs in behind, in the channels, anticipatory movement in the box, pressing from the front. Interlinking well, assisting, creating space and a whole host of other stuff that helps the entire team and how we function. You start Piroe and as he has proven historically for us (started plenty at CF last season) you lose most of the aforementioned about Joseph, whilst Piroe's finishing doesn't really come into play as he's not getting into the goalscoring positions against a low or even a mid block as the space is so overloaded. Piroe NEEDS to come off the bench when we're winning. Thats the perfect game state for him. If those late goals show anything, it's that he can put a game to bed for you when you have a lead. The game is stretched at that point and he has space to work effectively at his best traits. Start him and you benefit nothing and lose nigh on everything which helps us function as a team in the attacking third.
i don't know if dominance is completely true when the other team is allowing us to have the ball. its by design. cardiff was totally different situation. bogle was wide open constantly never switched. playing with 2 dms against that cardiff who couldnt pass 5 yards terrible. i understand against better teams but if 1 game allowed us to be more expansive & less pragmatic that game was it & hes still scared to concede
Put it this way gents if you had a choice would you have a better goal difference or a lesser goal difference than the teams vying for automatic promotion and if yes…..why if it doesn’t really matter???
Farke will continue to get outcoached in the big games. Leeds will be in the top six but it will be the play offs again and Farke will fail in the big games again
Already lost to Burnley this season. Play off final was appalling. Fans are split at the moment. Decision to stick with Farke will either prove right or wrong @@davidgrayson5271
I respect Brownie but he tied himself to Bielsa to the end and now has tied himself to Farke. He also is getting his facts wrong. All of the teams above us have a better GD and 5 have scored more goals goal difference, never the less it is early days. For me the big issue is that Farke does not seem to be learning and the team has the same weaknesses that we had last year.
We are doing a good job stop all the winging we will win the championship this year if you give them a chance just injoy the game stop looking for problems we're there isn't any
Cheers for getting Brownie involved Conor. He's a very thoughtful guy before he commits himself to saying something and it's always positive mate 👍

The thing is, Joseph does far more work for the team, without his work we don't make the chances.
Leeds will go up. What happens after only God knows.
Has Conor taken down the Reddit reaction video?

what happened earlier bud?
2-0 Leeds, back the same score every week… as with that degree of control it’s highly likely Leeds will win either 1-0 or 2-0

Might be an idea to get someone who isn't farke's love child. Just to give a different view
