You're forgetting one more psychological hindrance which is "regret". Regret of the past trade teaches you to doubt and distrust your next trading plan.

All 3 of those tips/lessons are good, but won't mean anything if you don't stick to your plan and strategy. I think that's what most people struggle with, being consistent and not making alot of mistakes

Thanks Steven. This is very insightful. How often do you find it necessary to exit a trade manually, either because you can see that you won't hit your TP and are prepared to accept whatever profit has accrued so far, or because it seems inevitable you will hit your SL, and want to cut your losses?
