I’m currently studying for the asvab. I’ll be taking it next month. I just wanted to share a trick I learned about % of problems. I learned you could multiply the two number then divide it by 100. For example you had a problem where it asked “what is 70% of 44? If you multiply 70 x 44 = 3,080. You divide 3,080 by 100 and you will 30.8. That’s just one way learned that helps me with those type of percent problems

I have taken the ASVAB before, it is not easy. Im glad that I have been discovering these tutoring sessions, Its definitely helpful. I take my test in Thursday, I feel so much more prepared and confident.

Man it’s been a good minute I’ve been out of high school and trust me I’m studying very hard right now , I have never been too much of a math person but due to my enlistment I do need to complete the so called Asvab . I’m 27 years of age right now you know back in my teens I was just focused on ditching, smoking, drinking ! You know not everyone is an applicable student but hey I got to graduate back on 2013 . I do look upon learning and refreshing my memory man and watching you’re videos makes me feel better about succeeding on my math skills , I took my asvab but scored a 3% I felt so useless ! But if it’s something you want to achieve no matter what it takes never give up ! What my recruiter always tells me !

honestly I'm 18 and like on may got out of high school and I took the asvab got a 16 then second time a 17 yeah its progress on the ten parts i noticed it did a lil better then the last time but its still not a good score and I was watching your videos like those two times and then I saw the one where its only 4 parts that will actually bring your score up and I didn't know that I'm slacking right sleeping late but ima put a lot of effort to study I have so much time yet I'm wasting that time that I will never get back sleeping like really I really hope I pass this time I wanna make mom proud and I know I can do this all this math I forgot about but the way you solve it makes sense and I'm getting a lil better with my multiplication too mental math dividing sum what getting there this stuff is so easy yet I didn't pay attention in school a lot i wish i did pay attention this stuff would've been easy on the asvab really enjoy watching your videos they are really helpful to be honest

Mr.Duran Im currently studying for the ASVAB and failed it three times now😔... To be honest My first and second try I didn't really take it seriously [ I got a 16 on my first try and then drop to 11 but on my third try { I got a 19 And my mom says that's an improvement but I never really felt that improved } I put in my all and watch youtube videos, took practice quizzes on the internet, used sites like Quizlet to help me study day and night ( I cried so hard and felt hopeless like there was really nothing I can do 😣)...until I looked up ASVAB tutor on TH-cam and you popped up so I went to your math videos and you explained how helpful you are so I have 30 DAYS until I can retake the test I hope me watching all your videos help.💜💜💜....Also Thanks for caring about the world we need more teachers like you...

I had a low score because of the arithmetic reasoning part of the asvab I only got one point but I'm hoping and praying I get a better score watching your videos

Is the asvab somewhat similar to the AFOQT? I’m going for an officer in the Air Force. Didn’t score competitive enough the first time I took the AFOQT and only have one more shot since it can only be taken twice in a lifetime. Reading comprehension and work knowledge really beat me on the exam

There is more than one way to solve your question so find the way that works for you and use that way. The process stayed the same even though the numbers change from question to question. For example, solve the question of what is 50% of 78 the same way you solve what is 23% of 65.

It absolutely is. Concepts are the same, the way you test might be slightly different. But preparing for the AFOQT and the ASVAB is the same
