I'll never forget this game because as a kid, I went to a birthday party at Bullwinkle's and a friend of mine found that if you banged on the machine for this game, it would give you free credits. Obviously a faulty machine, but man did we have fun playing it for free.
The sound of the default gun was super weird, it was the only thing I could remember about this game, that and the weird "multiple straight lines of bullets" with power ups.

That helicopter landing on the beach is one of the best starts to any game ever.
Mercs will forever hold a very loved and dear place in my heart. Alot of nostalgia playing my sega genesis when things seemed simple and joyous
i loved this game, my brother and i usually went through all the missions in a breeze together and it was hella fun

I used to love playing two player on this, especially for things like where you get the jeep. My favourite weapon was the flamethrower.

The insertion is so dramatic LOL. The marines came down, securing the insertion point, the one man army guy came down, all saluting him and took off.

It would have been nice if they designed this game so that the screen was bigger. The narrow landscape feels too tight and compressed.
