Funny and CLEANLY written, shot, and edited. Seems simple, but I bet it was hard to make it look that way. And it has multiple possible meanings: The janitor was a math genius all along, but has never been properly MOTIVATED to use that skill until now. Maybe they're in a well-secured school and the janitor learned math from years of reading the chalkboards in classrooms. Also: Security guard's natural talent (after all, he dunks napkins too) against the janitor's scientific approach. So great.

TH-cam: Let's recommend this video after 11 years
TH-cam algorithm has brought us this masterpiece again
This gave me goose bumps when the janitor was doing the quick maths
I had seen this video so many years ago. I am commenting here so that I can watch this in another 11 years.
So basically, I'm breaking down whatever he did:
So, the motion of the ball follows a parabolic path. The horizontal distance is called Range. Angle of projection being X. For it to cover a horizontal distance y, the formula R= u^s sin^2X/ 2g is used. Tbh, the pressure of the ball didn't matter. Idk why he measured the pressure of the ball.
It comes as late reply but it does matter... Pressure inside ball determines how much will it get affected by air resistance.. so pressure has to be at that point where effects is minimal...
It seems stranger to me the fact that he is cleaning than that he is scoring with formula..Damn thats somthing wrong with the general perception about us engineers.
TH-cam algorithm recommend me this video after 10 years.
Same, haha

The real "R.E.U.N.I.O.N" - TH-cam algorithm. See ya again in 4 yrs.
All that use of engineering was made redudant the moment he decided to rely on the unknown variable of muscle power. You cant have unsolved variables in engineering.
Exactly...how can he even assume that he could throw the ball at the same speed as derived from solving the equations
it's not just the same speed, it's the same angle and direction every time. this takes training to form muscle memory.
If he had that perfect muscle control from the beginning he could have simply made the shots by changing parameters in his shots. Like decrease/increase power, increase/decrease elevation by X% etc. He would have been done faster.
But this all includes the impossible notion of perfect muscle control.
No....he can try to exert same forces trying to maintain the same angle and can average out his range...this physics is of class 11th....I read it few years back.
@@carboncompounds9377 but there's not a lot of leeway between the diameter of the hoop and the ball. He'd have to make pretty precise shots to get the ball in. Even the basketball-shooting robot in Japan, solely programmed to make accurate shots, miss. How much more, an engineer prone to human error?
@@uelplayed6207 the leeway exists...how do you think it affects the precision is unknown (he lined up the cones to stand on a straight line and positioned himself accordingly.
Ok,maths and physics..But no-one can precisely calculate the amount of power his/her body uses to throw the ball..
