@@AutoYoung Are you correcting them saying "360" instead of "GO 3(S)"? Otherwise I don't get what you mean - this whole video and the parent comment was about the 360 (Insta360).
I'd recommend adding weights to the bottom until it's only slightly buoyant so that in the water it will tend to stay upright and you aren't fighting its natural tendencies. This could just be rocks thrown in the bottom of the container, if you're not concerned about the noise that will make.
I had done my wedding photos like this underwater. The photographer fit his entire DSLR inside a fish tank and submerged it halfway. Stupendous results
You still have to make sure the camera is in the middle by hand, I suppose it could be possible to have a slider where the camera is attached to adjust its position and have the box float on its own, I think it's probably how the expensive products work, or they support a specific camera so they know its weight so they know where the middle line is and they don't need a slider
No, the expensive one is just about optics quality and not having distortion, when the camera lens is 10k and the camera is 25k, a 1.2K waterproof housing is just the true pro studio cost of doing business. Pro cameras will have all sorts of attachments, mic, extended battery, multiple SSD, the weight per camera varies wildly and a self-floating perfect waterline box would be next to impossible without it being an entire submarine! XD
Now if the water was clearer id love this so much more but i got to say this is a pretty good idea and works and probably only spent a few bucks on it thats a great diy right there
Alternatively, you could use a phone with a good camera and stick it to the side of the container so to screen is covering it. You can use a shutter remote for about $5 in a ziplock or dry pouch, and it's probably best to take the phone in upside down. More intermediate way. But it gives you more control. You can either use another phone using a VNC, Droid VNC NG app as the server, and a VNC voewer if your app sends one of the devices as a hotspot. But if you have Internet, you can use something like Teamviewer or no machine.
Sejak baru, rem semi hidrolik langsung diganti mekanis tektro MD C550, dual pull. Depan rotor ganti 160 mm, belakang bawaan 140 mm. Rem pakem, mirip rim brake, tapi modulasinya lebih bagus. Kena hujan juga tetap ok, beda dengan rim brake. Versi mekanis juga gk pernah bunyi, beda yg hidrolik, cepet bgt bunyi. Paling lama seminggu habis diservis pasti mulai bunyi kalau direm pas pelan. Makin lama makin kenceng bunyinya.
Next time, draw a line on the in side at the sides and back at the center/waterline.... so the lining up will be very easy next time. The lines are your guideline
Just pour enough water into the container so it floats halfway, then you don’t have to worry about holding it at the right height since it’ll move with the water height
Umm... no. It doesn't work as well. LOL. It can 'get the job done' like the previous reply stated, but only under specific circumstances -- which is when you don't care that the above water and below water images don't line up properly due to refraction index differences. The curved casing corrects the underwater refraction so what is above water and below water look more or less the same size
@@gaerekxenos No it doesn't. They just edited the image after the fact. They only way the lens could correct the refraction would be for the underwater portion on the lens to have a different curve than the above water portion. That is clearly not the case. Even if they tried that, it would show up in the image where the two lens shapes intersect.
Nice video, nice DIY, and my respect for using Vivaldi's Summer (i'm only 18 years old, but i enjoy Vivaldi's Summer and Winter, i own John Wick series for that love)
Pro tip: you don't need tape. The magnet pendant outside the container should be enough. You can now buy me and yourself a beer with the money you saved on that tape 😊
Part of the reason having the water right up against the lens doesn't look good is that the watter line is inside the cameras minimum focal distance and had no real definition to the line making the transition between the water and surface and out of focus mess. Using a case or a bucket like in the video moves the waterline back into the focal range of the lens giving a nice crisp dividing line between the surface and under water segments.
Most newer phones are reasonably waterproof so you don’t need to buy anything. Just stick the camera end under the water a little bit then flip the recording
You could put the camera on the outside of a container that's filled with water up to the middle of the camera. Then the whole contraption should float on it's own at the right height/depth
It’s not exactly the same, by having a flat glass surface, everything underwater will be “zoomed in”. You’d achieve a better result by using a fish bowl kind of thing because the round surface doesn’t refract the light the same way when underwater, thus not having that weird zoomed in effect
Just needs lighting those splits are usually done with very powerful underwater leds attached. For those saying why so expensive the case is designed for diving at higher then normal Pressures and making that while preserving camera quality and usability is very expensive. All camera gear is expensive but considering good nd filters cost 400 bucks and cages cost 200-400 on the cheap side along with good lenses being 2k+ price is reasonable
Might as well shot above and underwater then photoshop them together. Using flat surface distort the lens as the underwater shot looks a lot more zoom-in.
This is probably the most reasonable diy I've ever seen
