Yeah but the fact that it started in 1924 still stands. So technically this will still be the 100th anniversary just not the 100th parade

wait that can't be right!!! the Parade marched it's 90 years in 2016. So, counting up to 2024 it would be 98th!!
It was off for two years during WWII. I believe that the rubber that was going to be used for the balloons was used for the war effort.
