The 2nd movement is pretty much at the peak of human creation, it's perfect in just about every way. Even beyond the scope of music, it's one of the greatest and most wonderful things ever made.
I am literally pissed we were robbed of like 30-40 more years of music from the God of music himself. Such a crying damn shame of all the music he could’ve written
The presto movement is a favorite of my local classical radio station. I wish they played the whole work more often; I had forgotten how lovely the first two movements are!
How any human being could create such a thing as this is beyond comprehension. The only answer that I come up with was given by Albert Einstein: “Beethoven created his music, but the music of Mozart is of such purity and beauty that one feels he merely found it -that it has always existed as part of the inner beauty of the universe waiting to be revealed.”
The soloists are nonpareil and of course this is Mozart's finest string concerto bar none. Just wish the "meaty" divisi viola parts in the ripieno were more prominent---they often provide counterpoint that can easily be missed, and they give a distinctive color to the work.
Other way round. In playing this and other masterpieces, we bring order and culture into the world. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
The balance of the parts, the dialogues, the atmospheres, the melodies, the phrasing...this is for sure one of his masterpieces.
Well-said, Maestro......BRAVO from Acapulco!
You mean, one of your masterpieces?
@@amadc675 -- I suspect an Imposture here. Probably some passed-over musicologist denied tenure at Staatliche Hochschule Für Musik.....
Again Wolfie leaving his accounts logged-in at those Viennese cafes! Same happened yesterday to the Leipzig's Kantor Rabbit YT account!
one of his 626 masterpieces
There are composers. There are great composers. And there is Mozart.
In would vote this as #1 of his all other work! Simple put, it is perfection.

I completely agree with you about this!
23:41 the coda is so impossibly beautiful
All of Mozart’s music is the fountain of the soul
10:39 - 10:52 Magnificent writing for the strings
If I could take only one Mozart work to a desert island, this would be a strong contender.

He soars from Beauty to Beauty unfolding such seraphic visions it's almost unbearable to our mundane hearts.
Love this recording, the best one out there and what a piece! Top 5 Mozart
For me this is his best work. There isn’t anything which compares in qualitative consistency to this.
It is such a crucial piece it made the Amadeus cut
I played this in orchestra less than a week ago! Love the piece.
Where about?
Это шедевр!
Thank you! Great!
Isso é maravilhoso.
Mozart da beleza ao mundo tão escuro.
I am here in Jundiaí/SP,listening this masterpiece
Dont know why, I absolutely love the Presto 3rd movement.
So much greater than any sinfonia concertante that Bologne composed.
0:50 reminds me of a *not* Mozart Symphony in the same key, specifically with its first movement.
Mozart was a good !
Can someone please explain why the viola solo part is writen transposed in D?
Please read the info under the video.
*S C O R D A T U R A*
18:50 piano concerto no 9
18:24 (personal note)
Why is the solo viola part had to be written in D major?
Read info under the video please.
The violist is supposed to tune his instrument up by 1/2 tone, thus increasing its brilliance.
💥
Did Mozart write the cadenza?
Yes.
as a cellist, i realized that the scordatura viola part is literally bass clef but an octave up😂
23:41

This is a recording from 1964 digitized from Vinyl. I am amazed how clear it is and how much the engineers managed to pick up.
Is pelliccia using scordatura in this recording?
🐎
Is er ooit enige evidentie gevonden dat al die grote, zeer productieve componisten, met amanuenses werkten?
Without order and culture in our society this music cannot exist. It cannot be performed, let alone enjoyed properly. Woe to our disastrous world.

@bonnacon; Rightly spoken! "Don't curse the darkness, light a candle!" Viva Mozart!
There's nothing to say only but the word "amazing and beautiful"
Just devine
A most profound statement! Those who commented above prefer it "the other way around"; I prefer it as you expressed it.
