It's better in English even when you study Japanese Brush Calligraphy,
and speak a small part of the language, but still cannot understand the
language entirely. Real Samurai history is a cool thing to study, also.
Mostly I know how many of the Clan Armies Fought, the names of their
Feudal Lords, and their Clan Symbols. Took a long time to find out what
I do know,now...but there's definitely more to learn. Like studying your
    country's alphabet,or a Foreign Alphabet,once you master any alphabet
it's a great thing, but now,you can begin putting the new words together
into full sentences! When you learn something good, don't stop learning!
