So nice to hear your journey. My grandmother taught me how to crochet in 1974. I just started making plushies because that’s what my customers want. I don’t do markets but I do show my items on Fb and IG that people can claim.

@@WindyHillCrochet …. I live in Florida so things that sell here may be different from other places. Turtles, possums, Hello Kitty and axolotls always sold well. Of course small inexpensive items do very well. I had baskets of $10 & $12 items. I did very small fairs to see if I liked it (I loved it and am now looking for something a bit larger)
I am 75 and just started crochet 3 years ago. Slow going for me but am determined to learn plushies this year to also help my very limited SS income. I've done well at craft fairs with other things just not crochet/knit items as I live on the CA desert and our doors and windows are open clear into Dec! But they do like the cute seasonal baby hats. Welcome! I am so very pleased to see you are an experienced crocheter. Far too often, I find new YT channels where they start with animuguri and have no basic knowledge. I can't wait to see what you make. I started at 5 and am leftmganded lol, have been crocheting for 50 years! Good luck Love!!!!

Love those plushies of yours! Will you be doing tutorials? I want to learn so bad. I am a slow learner (took me quite awhile to get the hang of crochet) and so many tutorial vids just seem a little beyond me. I found a real cute and simple (I hope) little whale one.....I guess not actual plushie more of just amigurumi (which are wonderful also) as it is made with worsted weight on a 3.25 hook.....oh YIKES! lol but will practice with larger hook and yarn. But I am determined to learn this year. I learned scrunchies in furry and velvet yarn just before Christmas. I'm excited for a craft fair this year. I liked and sub'd your channel. Hope to see more of you here and Happy New Year!
Am looking forward to your channel. I use chenille or plush or "blanket" yarns and all kinds of the thicker weights. I really love the purple (ish) shawl and am hoping you have the pattern somewhere. Your hats are wonderful. And Amigurumi is my new (ish) passion. Very exciting to have discovered you. Happy 2024!
