Hi Marcus awesome live video I enjoyed it can't wait to see more soon. The food looks good. Have a great day see you next video 😀 greetings from Canada
Always have excellent food and service at The Angel. The pods are great for business lunches and the bar is dog friendly - great after a long walk across the dunes. The sister pub, The Pelican, is also fantastic.
Yes, chips and rice must be a Welsh thing my Welsh husband Mark loves that and something he calls a chip butty. In America, I grew up eating one starch )either rice or potato with a meat and a vegetable. Love to you both glad to see Mel. Thank you for sharing looking forward to more videos.
We'd not been down here in S.W. long when we got in with a group of classic Japanese motorcycle enthusiasts who met every Wednesday evening in spring, summer and autumn at Porthcawl, we had our Christmas do at The Angel Inn.
@@flydriveexplore Don't worry I'm not stalking you, I spend more time watching things of interest on TH-cam than watching TV. I have more interests other than local history mainly cars and motorcycles and have regular vloggers that I follow. I comment on most of them.

@@flydriveexplore i spent many years living down the rd in Cornelly.there was about 10 of us male & female all in the pyle Army cadets we were up the dunes camping many times,as most of us us joined the forces we would all try and meet up on leave and the Angel it was.,it was a bowl of chips in them days and a dodgy walk home drunk.
Hello from the States. This video is exactly what I needed on this dreary January day. The food looks great. I would have tried the sausage, mash and gravy myself. Keep the videos coming. They will help me get thru the Winter. Take care and stay well.
I've eaten there many times and the last time the food wasn't up to standard but it looks like it's under new management now so I will have to try the food again soon.
@@flydriveexplore Come and live in India, you can enjoy more quality food with less price. And Basmati rice, chicken curry and chips you can find in just £2-3 max.

Hi, Happy New Year
I've been there many times the food and the service is exceptionally great and good value for money in the Angel Pub.

Nice to see Mel. 😂😂 I think half and half is from Chinese takeaways. I've had it throughout the UK.
wow not been there for over 30 years, that was our fav place when on leave from the army a quick walk from Pyle,it has changed a hell of a lot tho.
We went there quite a few times during the nice summer evenings we had last year, great spot and walks from there over the dunes.

Thanks for watching. I'm sure we'll be having sausage and mash at some point over the next few months.
Does the menu apply to two pubs? It said the Star in and underneath was The Angel Inn. Food looked great.
The star inn is closed now unfortunately
We've been to the Pelican twice in a row now for the same menu. Great food and friendly staff :)

How long ago, it was taken over a year or two ago.
@@flydriveexplore It was probably 18 months to two years ago.
You seem to be visiting a lot of pubs and places around my area of Bridgend/Maesteg. Just wondering where exactly you live, it must be close by.
Pretty close - our other videos may give you some clues.
Any chance u can show menus x
We showed a bit of them if you stop the vid but will do more in future ones.
It’s a Herefordian thing as well, half rice and half chips
👍 I'm sure there are some other places around the country that have it too.
And more importantly it was the headquarters of the margam bando boys
#letmeltalk😂😂😂
We never mix starches. but when in Rome...
Half and half is a tight arse thing! I only ever came across it in Wales
Not 'tight arse' - fine dining!
Wow, so expensive. 3500+ rupees for just three people 😑😑
That's the UK at the moment just see the price in the cities.
