And the fact she saved sm entertainment for bankruptcy also she is also the creative director. She also was placed in charge of mental care for artists who debut at a young age
I was waiting for you to react to this. Every other reaction has been people "discovering" her. I LOVE that you know. You KNOW who and what she is. She is THE Queen. Love the reaction. Thank you for being with her all this time.
I love the evolution of BoA. I was all over anything she did from day one and across Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and American promotions. I still remember some of the dances for the songs I learned LOL Literally watched her grow up through every album! I'm so glad she still makes music and dances as if time never went on! Time sure moved on for me and my achy knees LOL I grew up with Korean music all my life (I'm mid-30s now) and seeing her and YoonMiRae (Blasian like myself) in particular still killing it makes my old heart so happy. I'm glad to see you felt the nostalgia like I did when you watched her video.🧡🧡
This reminds me of early 2000's pop in the best possible way. The dancing looks so easy but like you have to be physically strong for a lot of what's in this video. Slightly off-topic but I wonder if the running around while singing is something she learned in Japan. It's rumored that Babymetal, a J-Pop duo and metal band, trains like that and your comment made me remember that.
That was training she did in NY. SME sent her there early in her career to compensate for a disastrous live performance she did in Japan. That conditioning is part of the many things that made her from Kwon Boa to BoA.
@@quincycamo7577 adding ur reply, and because that method really work for BoA, SM decided to add that method to their training system until now. That's one of the reason SM can bring strong vocalist in kpop market
@@dlee9145 Yup! SM artists are THE BEST live vocal performers in Kpop because of their training methods, and their vocal trainers! And we have Queen BoA to thank. Woman is a force to be reckoned with!
@@EXO-L-ls8qj Bts is my ultimate group but ive been into kpop since 2008 and I agree, SM really does have the best vocals in kpop. You CANNOT deny that, there quality is next level!!
I'm a little like you, i've discovered BoA and also K-pop in 2003, so i'm a long time K-pop fan too. The only maybe difference is that i've discovered BoA with her Japanese career first since i've been a fan of Anime and J-pop since 1998 and learned that she was korean so i had to check her korean career too. I've been a big fan of both japanese and korean career ever since. For me, she is not just the queen of K-pop, but the REAL Queen of Pop like Michael Jackson was the King of Pop in the whole world, she is also my number one favorite solo female K-pop, asian and international artist. I'm always happy to see other long time Kpoppers like me and wish that the younger K-pop fans learn more about the older artists like BoA who created what k-pop is now and who was the idols and inspiration of their idols.
BoA is basically who introduced me to the world of Kpop. like I heard a few other Kpop songs here and there in 2005 but in 2008 BoA came out with her song: Eat You Up and that was it. after that I tried looking up everything musically related to her and I then discovered even more artist which in turn made fall even more in love with her just bc of it. btw.. did you know, when you type in the TH-cam search bar: Queen of Kpop, BoA is the first person that you see.
Even if BoA's music is not really my style but I can't deny her talent. She's awesome artist and very nice person. And as usual I am going to suggest Dongkiz - Lupin dance practice.
I love her, she seems to me one of the most complete artists out there. I respect it, I admire it and I love it very much, I appreciate being able to enjoy it at this very moment that it is still valid, active. Since I met the KPop, BoA conquered me quickly. Damas y caballeros with you, THE QUEEN!
Yup BoA was the one I 1st started listening too way back when in high school 14 years ago. She’s only one year older than me. I found her Japanese songs, then transitioned to her Korean ones. I also used to listen to Kato Miliyah, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi etc, as well as Se7en, Shinhwa, Bi Rain, Hwanhee, Lee Hyori, Chae Yeon, Mina, CSJH, TVXQ etc. The legends of Kpop that started it all! She looks like her young self minus the baby fat.
As a fellow Cambodian/Chinese Kpop fan since 05', your reaction videos feed life into me in a way that makes me feel understood & connected! BoA was one of the first I ever heard/saw and it was instant. Her iconic dances and husky voice have never ever failed me! She is one of the hardest working artists. Whenever she comes back with a new song/album, the teenage kpopper in me SQUEALS with joy. I totally get how seeing her perform can make you emotional. Her music seems to only be getting better as she keeps learning more about her own personal style and craft, like fine wine. Thanks for your awesome and honest reactions!
Loved this reaction! Please do a reaction to "202020 BoA." It's almost a 30 minute long video but it features BoA looking back at her 20 year career and she even re-creates some of her iconic dances. I'd love to see your reaction and you reminiscing about your fandom of BoA.
BoA has been my ultimate bias since I was 13 back in 2005, This is her 20th anniversary. Fun fact: Her shoes got so wet she used a hairdryer to dry them and her shoes shrunk. AND SHE STILL DANCED IN THEM! Also yes those flowers were 100% real and it made her sneeze a lot haha! OMG DO YOU LOVE ME IS SUCH A BOP! That's on her Girls on Top album in 2005
20 years!!! That is speaks to BoA's sustained relevance in KPOP! She has done and seen it all! I got into kpop in 2015 and my first exposure to BoA was "One Shot, Two Shot" - Instantly feel in love!!! Everything about the song and MV is SO GOOD - If you haven't seen it, here is the link to the MV: th-cam.com/video/Xg_4tbLnIOc/w-d-xo.html
10 Korean studio albums in and she still is killing it to this day. She's only behind Super Junior in terms of the amount of Korean albums released, and that's nuts (Super Junior are at the top in terms of Korean album releases from SM Entertainment at 11 right now, but BoA is still right behind there). You can't get any better (no pun intended) than the queen herself, and BoA just has a presence to her that is unmatched. The quality and consistency of her songs is immense, and that's what a lot of 2nd gen kpop artists from the 2000s embody.
YESS!! 💛 You were already a Jumping BoA/or a big BoA fan I assume?? I loved your reactions! I was honestly shocked when you brought up "Do You Love Me."
BoA is coming back Nov 22nd with "Forgive Me". she has said that this will be a song of what she says as releasing "Anger" Wow. I hope you will react to it!
I never knew BoA was Korean back then since her name sounds like it was Japanese. Eat you up got me really hooked into BoA and also didn't know she was under SM entertainment(home of the Girls' Generation).
This BITCH DID ALL OF THAT, and she's been doing all that shit forever and ever, since her debut just pure slayage, every single dance move on point every single title track has been amazing, she's chased trends, set them and now is living her best life, this whole album is just top to bottom bop after bop after bop, to bad she gets over looked. Can't believe she just celebrated 20 years in korea and Japan, discovering her was the best accident I've ever made, and I can't believe I've been with her since her listen to my heart era, still such a major turning point in her career, she achived so much at such a young age, it's astonishing.
She's gorgeous. This is the first song of hers I've heard and I love it. I've only been into kpop for like a year lol so I'm still new. This gives me a really 90's Janet Jackson vibe. I'm loving it. Can you also check out Chungha? People say Chungha has the capability and talent to be a queen of kpop like BoA (she's already my queen though 😂). She just released a pre-single called Dream of You with R3HAB and she signed with 88rising. I'd love to hear what you think!
To hear a reaction from someone who grew up admiring BoA is really touching.
I know! I felt like I was watching my reaction. I said exactly the same things and I also got teary eyed.
And the fact she saved sm entertainment for bankruptcy also she is also the creative director. She also was placed in charge of mental care for artists who debut at a young age
Queen BoA. Period
Choreo-wise, I absolutely love how the unmistakable "BoA bounce" is aaaall throughout this

She is THE Queen. Love the reaction. Thank you for being with her all this time.
Our first reaction: her thighs!!!
I couldn't stop looking at them. Body goals
Same here, its hard to find BoA lover this day! I suggest to watch SSAK3, Beach Again. Its like a throwback project.
I just wanna say I appreciate how you don't constantly pause during your reactions
this one kinda gave me major janet jackson vibes!!!! BoA is ALWAYS on her queen sh*t and her artistry is unmatchable
Literally Applause to the stylist, it matches so well with the concept😩😩
i had goosebumps the whole time while watching her video.. I almost cried too, there was a sudden feeling that i can't describe...
if no one knows BoA or curious about her watch InternetNathans video of "What happened to BoA". she is the OG soloist Queen of Kpop
I love boa. She clearly holds back on her sex appeal to keep focus on what she does instead but she still sells every last look
Thank you. You really know about her.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought of do you love me. The bridge and bass totally sent me back to 2005
