Admittedly I’m not the biggest boxing fan so correct me if I’m wrong on this but this fight seems like a wing change in boxing culture. I feel like fighters that are popular to the level that these two are at rarely get put together when they are this young. They are both only like 25 years old, very popular with the younger demographic the boxing needs to continue building - and they are actually making a smart business decision by putting this fight together. Also the balls on Garcia to take the fight! I feel like the boxing meta has become to take as many easy fights as possible until you are 25-0 then you fight for the belt. If you lose you go back and take a bunch of burner fights to build yourself back up and wait for your next shot. Ryan took a massive risk fight Tank and got ran over. He immediately dusted himself off, took one tune up fight and is right back at fight a young hot prospect! That’s gotta deserve some respect and also is out of the modern boxing norm no?
Btw I have a prediction that something will go wildly wrong at some point in the fight due to the New York State Athletic Commission because they suck! The worst athletic commission in the country.

The fact is if he’s faking it or if it’s real it’s a crazy thing to do either way. N in my opinion, damaging to Ryan’s reputation. I see it as self sabotage. Ryan is not scared. He’s been doing this since he was seven years old. he did have issues with illness a few years ago so logic would tell you that it’s creeped backed into his life. Also, his mom was not there tonight. Or Brother. Or sister And his trainer seem pretty pissed off.

If there's enough reputable people involved in boxing who intimately know Garcia and feel he needs an evaluation prior to the fight, it should be done for his safety. You tell me, as I don't know how the UFC runs in this type of situation, but what if you knew a fighter who you've trained with numerous times , or he trained at your gym, to know enough about him that he's was acting bizarrely, or out of character enough that it may cause him harm during an up coming fight, what would you do? If I was Garcia and I was just being myself and a commission asked for an evaluation, I'd do it to prove my competence and clear all doubt...Being quirky is one thing, but having a bout of a mental health episode, could not just hurt someone during a fight, but afterwards, especially if he loses badly because of his issue and then falls into a deep depression because of it... A pers you see as a boxer is a real person. The real person had or was exposed to a traumatic event. What he saw was enough to shake his entire existence. These events happen every day. Its not our job to judge. If you're a boxing fan, watch for the boxing experience. What you're talking about supersedes a sporting event. Right? There is nothing you or we can do but send good energy or prayers his way. Fight, win, loss,,,, none of that will matter once the fight is over. He now has a new mission in life and it may very well take him on new path. By the way, what he saw is real, do some research.
I watched the face off with Max Kellerman. It seemed like they are very familiar about the fights they've had with each other in the past. Going through amateur events. And from what they seem to agree on is its a toss up.
I hope you were in on it, Chael, if not, you especially should know that feeling uncomfortable against an opponent gives your opponent an edge. Ryan sells fights w/ his unpredictable personality. You can’t have the Commission step in and stop the fight as long as he hasn’t threaten to harm himself or other people besides his opponent in the ring, under the State of Nevada boxing regulations, and Ryan never did and shook Daney.

A lot of ppl who have their eyes on this fight aren't boxing fans and lose out on some of the older knowledge.. 2 or 3 years ago Ryan was Haney's mandatory and when that mandatory was being called Ryan stepped away from boxing citing mental health issues.
Now in the future the fight is official I think it's back. But it's hitting him hard bc he's in the spotlight and the show must go on.
I believe that Ryan is acting out, out of frustration. He has history with Haney.. and Haney has surpassed him in terms of success in the sport. Haney has been undisputed, talked about in p4p discussion.. ppl outside of boxing hate Haney but within the sport he is a darling.
Haney has brought his career to where Ryan wanted to be.. but Ryan was not focused on making the improvements needed to get there. So I think in a way he's self sabotaging so that either..
1. The fight is called off
Or
2. He has built in excuse to lose.
So that if he can't land that miracle shot and loses the fight he's building his own mental defense so he doesn't have to sit in the fact that he didn't do what he should've done to improve so now he's not an actual elite fighter. Just a decent fighter with a name.
He used to beat up Devin. Now when it all counts if he gets washed that's a hard pill to swallow..

Bro, the case between little Timmy playing baseball vs a fighter, especially a UFC fighter, having HIV is not even remotely close.
We can have a conversation about little Timmy and the risk, but even then everyone playing with the kids needs to be informed bare minimum.
You absolutely don't let the fighter fight. Percentage of transmission through the skin is low, but some of these MMA guys are literally covered in blood depending on the particular dynamics of the fight.
