Uk Small Boat Fishing - Double figured Spurdogs, Bass and Tope - 🇬🇧 fishing at it’s best

With the sun just peeking over the horizon, we embarked on our adventure deep of the back of the Isle of Wight, armed with a trusty cool box brimming with squid and Luke’s meticulously crafted Cox & Rawle wire traces. Today, we had the added pleasure of Grahame from Shorecast weights joining us onboard.
But as any angler knows, fishing is a game of patience and persistence but today Grahame kicked things off with a bang on the very first drop, reeling in his personal best spur dog, just shy of 16 lb. And from there, it was non-stop action. We lost count of the spur dogs as they kept biting, and then, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the Tope arrived - majestic creatures, some measuring over 130 cm long and weighing in at a hefty 20 lb+!
And amidst the excitement of the catch, let’s not forget the few impressive bass that decided to join the party, measuring over 55 cm.
But beyond the measurements and weights, what truly made the day memorable was the Laughing, swapping stories, and simply enjoying the beauty of being out on the water together.

Never thought of using the t bar to fish the hook out of the squid when baiting, good tip Luke, will save me getting squid under my finger nails!! 💅
