That was brilliant. Good to see you giving the Yamaha an Italian tune up after a long winter in the garage. Those roads look great for a motorbike. The foot down cornering then accelerating away at about 4:30 was a highlight for me!
Went to look at the dt125lc mk1 and found out that engine and frame numbers did not match, walked away from that one and ended up picking up a b plate 1985 mk2 instead, had my heart set on the mk1 though.
Thanks for the comment, she's 1984, 37 year old, so before Yamaha invented YPVS, it has Reed valve which at about 6500 revs really boosts power in every gear. Its a real hoot to ride! I hope you enjoy your one.

Awesome
I fancy one, to rekindle my youth when I couldn't be prised away from small 2 strokes. Not sure I could stand the racket now.
Hopefully picking one up this weekend 👍🏻
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine 🙂👍
@@davidmacculloch825 viewing this weekend and it’s been restored to a high standard had one back in the day will be used for lanes locally 👍🏻
had a black one. a mk1 no speedo. great bike . you lucky bast..d😂
Looks like an 83 to me. My 1984 has 22 hp, redline at 9500 rpm, YPVS and 12V electric. Perhaps different markets had different models?
Nice video, I'm going to collect one of these. Is that Inverness?
Hi, yes, just outside of Inverness. I hope you enjoy your one.
