@@NickTolmanMusic General question: how much time do you recommend dedicating to each lesson? Like should I practice each exercise until I can do it perfectly before moving on further in the book?
As far as amount of time, it's better to practice a small amount every day than to bulk practice periodically. I think it's best to shoot for at least 30 minutes daily. Generally I think it's best to try to perfect pages before moving on. I had an old music teacher who would say "don't practice it until you get it right, practice it until you can't get it wrong." I think this is a good way to go. The problem with moving ahead before you've mastered the stuff you're working on is it may create gaps in your ability further down the road. All that being said, if you get stuck on a page and are really having a hard time with it, maybe try going back and reviewing some older pages and and coming back to the hard stuff a day or two later.
Best teacher on TH-cam
Love the way you teach. Way better than other classes where they directly jump into chords!
Your really good keep being like this
Just starting this book and these videos are super helpful. I can tell I'll be relying on them heavily. Thank you!!!!!!
I’m glad they’ve been helpful for you so far! Good luck as you learn guitar! Don’t hesitate to post on here if you have any questions along the way.
