to all future travelers to Split: never buy ćevapi in a restaurant, you will always get scammed. they were never considered restaurant food in the first place in croatia before tourism explosion and they have became a classic tourist trap as restaurant owners prosper on tourist ignorance.

im in Croatia this week !!! where to make money exchange with the best rate in split, please . need advices of best things to visit , and hidden gem, best restaurant with view.
It is cheaper in the north around Porec and Pula , we found Pula very reasonable for food and drinks, and the trips were fantastic to Rovinj really great value. Its a bit like Italy some places are so expensive, others great value
I've been living my whole life there and I strongly have to disagree with your conclusion. Split is cheap, you just have to stop walking into tourists traps! No Croatian would ever spend so much money at a restaurant. Let me tell you: one slice of pizza is normally 10 kunas and you can have an amazing dinner for about 50 kunas (8 dollars approx.) It doesn't even have to be far from the centre, u just need to be willing to search a bit.
much better than the last video. I needed to hear you talk Lol. I've been watching your videos since 24,000 subs and now you're almost at 100000! wow congrats!
I am from a split. In restaurants, they robbed you well. If you went to the newer parts of the city it would go much cheaper and eat better. We native people are embarrassed by the owners of these restaurants. They give us a bad name they are - give me the money, give me the money
Some unsolicited advice. You should interview a few locals in your videos. This will make the videos much better. You can become the Anthony Bourdain of frugal traveling. It would be nice to hear from the locals about that region.
Hi, I live in Sarajevo. What a coincidence that I started watching your videos yesterday, and today or tomorrow you are coming to my city... greetings.
Thanks, yeah I enjoyed Sarajevo. I was there about a week ago, my videos are behind. I also went to Visoko to visit the Bosnian pyramids and to Mostar.
Gabriel Traveler Yeah its a sort of pastry with a filling, usually meat, potatoes, or cheese. In Bosnia it is rolled in a spiral shape and cooked in a special type of pan. I like it with kajmak on top. You'll find it all over the Balkans, including Albania where its called byrek.
Hey man great review and i must say 100% realistic. As a Split local i must say that there are some spots even in the center of Split and Trogir that have reasonable prices and usually even better quality and service. I am a local tour guide and i am doing some behind the scenes tours with local experiences so anyone can contact me regarding that. Best regards from Split and happy traveling! p.s. When eating čevapćići, try ordering kajmak. Btw, how were čevapćići in Sarajevo? ;)
There are charging you 25 Kunas for cathedral in Trogir because whole town Trogir is UNESCO´s World curtural heritage and in cathedral one can even see the works of Tizian and Raffaelo Santi. In Italy you also have to pay if you want to se la Pietá or David from Michelangelo.
Gabe- we went to split in june and it was much cheaper for us eating for similiar food you ate, i think it may have been the places you ate at. We found split to be a decent budget location similiar to athens/lisbon prices next time in split try buffet fife, maybe out toward the beaches or basically just outside dioclitions palace we found reasonable prices. We hope this trip didnt sour you on split we loved it on ours!
Lovely video. Split looks so pretty with a great vibe. Do you always eat in those touristy places? Or do you eat there so people people planning their vacations and watch your videos get a good idea of prices? (most people going on a few weeks vacation will end up in those places as it's their holiday and they want to enjoy). When travelling I'm kind of the other way around where I prefer to pay more for a private room in a hostel or local hotel but always ask around for places 'where the taxi drivers eat' as it's usually better and cheaper. It's just funny for me that your evening meal costs the same as your 1 night stay in a shared dorm! But it's good that you show the prices of food in the tourist areas as that's where most people researching their trip will happlily end up as they are away to enjoy themselves. Also always looking for the non-touristy deals can be be time consuming and annoying. Anyway, love your videos as always.
The dinner was even more than the dorm room actually, $25 for the meal and $17 for the dorm. No I definitely don't always spend so much on dinner, for these "how expensive" videos I usually try to find a nicer restaurant both aesthetically for the video and also as you said because tourists will end up eating at those types of places and so it's relevant to know the prices.
Gabe you shoulda try the seafood in Split specifically their fish. Most of the fish that is serve are catch of the day. One of the best seafood I tasted John Dory fish.
Great Video! Spit looks more Sophisticated than I had imagined. It looks beautiful around the waters edge. BTW Gabriel where did you buy those swimming goggles and do you find they that they do the job? thanks for the clip!
I got the goggles in Piran, Slovenia when I was there a couple weeks ago. They're great except that they tend to fog up. I need to get some sort of anti-fog spray or something.
I wasn't sure what I expected from that part of the world (maybe i thought it would have been more behind with the times)...I just didn't expect so much sophistication ...nice surprise!
Gabriel Traveler we are driving from amsterdam my home city to zadar its a 1200km drive but we went to split last year i'm sure its worth it... where are you right now may i ask?
Wow, that will be a seriously epic drive from Amsterdam. Stop in Slovenia if you get the chance. I'm in Budva, Montenegro. I don't really recommend it, an overcrowded beach tourist trap. Kotor was nice though, if you go to Dubrovnik then it's not far from there. However you have to deal with the border crossings and that takes a while. But I guess you probably know about all that if you're from Croatia.
Gabriel Traveler yeah i've dealt with those crossings last year but it was at 3 am so it wasnt that long of a wait we are going to travel up the coast do you have any recommendations to stop at?
Gabriel's vids are great for young travellers. My daughter is wanting to travel next year before starting university so I have recommended his videos to her
You have paid at least double for that lunch than at most of a places. It's not more expensive than most places along the coast, you just have to check few more restaurants, or ask... nobody asks anything since google maps become handy :D
Haha Trogir is not a fishing village, its tourist city, smaller but often more crowded than Split. Places you ate are very expensive tourist traps, and in most of them quality doesnt follow price, you only pay for location. There are lots of places within 10 min. walk where you can eat at much more reasonable prices.
I was in Split last summer, this summer we are going to Dubrovnik. I thought it was really cheap ! The first place you showed on the video is not the best, we asked the locals where to eat and go for drinks and we paid very little.
You have to take into consideration though - it's summer, first off - second - the way you travel you are almost always paying tourist prices - you could cut those prices in two or even three if you live longterm or like a local.....just saying - that goes for everywhere, basically - in Asia - cut by five......:-)
+Space Hobo, you're definitely right, the local prices would be much cheaper. Also in less touristy cities, even in my video from Rovinj you can see it was cheaper there, even though it was still touristy but not one of the main destinations. Keep in mind that the idea with these videos isn't really to show how to travel dirt cheap, but to show how much things cost for tourists. As I said in the video, I could have gotten a couple slices of pizza for just a few dollars, but that wouldn't be very interesting for the viewer. Or I could go to a grocery store and buy stuff, but for one thing I'm not much of a cook, and so you would see me eating a can of soup or a sandwich or something back in my hostel. And most people planning to go on vacation are going to end up eating in a restaurant for tourists, so they'll want to know what those prices are. Split in general was very expensive. The prices at that restaurant at the end were pretty typical for the old town area. But I'm sure there are restaurants out of the central tourist area that would be cheaper.
Yeah I agree that the touristy spots get annoying and it simply isn't as authentic of an experience. Where I am right now in Budva, Montenegro is a classic overcrowded beach scene, not into it. Although sometimes places are touristy for a reason and worth visiting. For me it depends on the purpose of the trip. This one I'm really flying, just spending a few days in each country, so I don't have time to explore in-depth. And because I'm doing youtube then it makes a lot more sense to hit the main spots as far as having success with the videos. Videos of places nobody has ever heard of don't tend to do well. When I get back to the US I can go to places where I have more space to myself. Or maybe I'll do some more Greek island hopping soon and find some remote places to relax away from the crowds. Also I think Albania will be less touristy than some of the other places I've been.
I love the washing hanging out drying on the medieval buildings @05:50 Practical use of beautiful buildings. Here in the UK there would be an army of bureaucrats listing 40 reasons why it is not allowed, pfft
I found croatia pretty expensive however we have stayed in split and hvar town ( db vodka and coke cost me £12). I've been told that Stari Gard (north hvar) is much cheaper
Yeah but those are among most expensive places. I dont get it why you watch all the vlogers or tripadvisor if you dont use them. You could have go much cheaper in those places if you listen to advices.
love your blog, and was very happy to find the Split episode (I was there at the same time actually, pity we didn't meet) the tourist spots are expensive, but if you know where to go it is not ;) hope you liked your stay there :)
It depends on where you go. Touristy areas are always more expensive. Those were fairly typical prices for the old town of Split, everything is more expensive there. But yes if you go to some other areas of the city outside the tourist zone, or to other parts of Croatia then of course it will be less. Most tourists will want to know how much things cost in the tourist restaurants because that's likely where they will eat, not in a local restaurant out of the way in another part of the city.
A "normal" price for chevapi (say, suburbs of Zagreb) is 30-40 kunas. Less than that is "inexpensive", more than that is "expensive". And if you're to have a lunch in a restaurant located in top center of the tourist hotspot, 90 kunas is kinda acceptable. Maybe a bit steep, but acceptable.
I avoid the touristy places at all costs. I don't earn the kind of money that would afford me to eat at fancy restaurants on the road. The cost of housing is usually the greatest expense, which for some of us who choose not to stay at hostels is the greatest limitation to touring. Buying food at a grocery store or finding local haunts is my preference. The food is not only better quality but less pricey.
Man, your prices are not ok because i eat in all the places in Split and u somehow found the most expensive ones...You can easily eat in center of Riva in front of Dioklecian palace for less.
in my town cofee is 1 dollar but in dubrovnik it is 15 dollars we have poor people but our currency is low so they overprize on sea and they make a big money we croatians arent able to go on vacation or sea because overprize to people from other counteries this is cheap
it is because of stupid politicans they have 3 500 dollar pay when we have less than 500 dollar and politicans just wanna 10 percent more pay in this country there is no jobs nearest pay we have is 1000 dollars they do not know what to do just more taxing and lower pays ps politicans in this country are extremely corrupted there is on news something with german with us
Gabriel Traveler Apparently President Wilson supported Albanian independence after WWI, and of course American intervention in Kosovo, which has a largely Albanian population. They really love Americans.
...While okay for well to do travelers and retirees, I feel sorry for the young people growing up there with those prices....They will not ever get out of that hole.......
I did go to Mostar, didn't make it to the waterfalls. Yeah Budva is kind of crappy, but I have a private room here for cheap so it's a good spot to relax and catch up on the videos at least.
You can find ćevapčići is Split for 4 euros. But if you want to sit and eat in the center of 3th century Unesco WH palace, you're paying for the location
Yeah, right... Chevapi is just minced meat with some seasoning. Don't make a big fuss about that, they are lore or less the same all over the Balkans. And I've tried them in Sarajevo in "Željo" (total disaster) and in some other places where chevapi are fine, but if you ever ate semi-decent chevapi enywhere, they are nothing to write home about.
thats the f cost for you... they add the price like crazy. coffee in Zagerb: 9 kn coffee in Dubrovnik: 80kn You pay more and get... *drum roll*... the same.
$95 for the whole day including room, bus ride to Sarajevo and Trogir (pronounced Trogeer, btw, you dropped i between g and r that's pronounced as a long e), lunch and dinner was NOT cheap? Sorry, but that's dirt cheap.
Adam Mason I think it is way cheaper if you do not go to the tourist places and eat where locals eat. I have been to Athens and the prices near the tourist spots like Monastiraiki (i believe it is called like this) where crazy. A pita for 5 € the cheapest. I stayed in an apartment where the normal people lived and near that where like 6 restaurants with no tourists and I payed 1,70€ for an amazing pita. It is like that everywhere in the world. You just have to find the local restaurants.
I recommend bringing an ATM card, informing your bank which countries you're going to on your trip, and then withdrawing from an ATM. You always lose money exchanging currency, whereas ATMs give you a fixed, fair rate. But if you need to exchange cash then first check the current exchange rate (try xe.com), so that you know the latest rates. Then check the rates being offered at whichever exchange desks you come across. They're located in random places especially in tourist areas. If it looks crappy, wait until you find another one and see if it's better. Or you can try a bank which are usually better rates, but you might have to wait in line.
yup! it looks expensive..and u always have a cold beer😜..and the weather's seems sooo hot! 😱 ..and u mean u wet ur shirt and cap in the river..the blu river--the water looks sooo clean and clear..is it?! ..but the place is clean and beautiful--only sooo urban!
this guy really has no clue how to eat out on a budget...for some strange reason he hits up all the touristy restaurants which charge triple what the small mom and pop places charge...
In these "How expensive" videos I usually go to a nicer restaurant for the video to show what they cost, since that's where tourists are likely to eat. As I said in the video, I could have had a couple slices of pizza for cheap, but that wouldn't be very interesting or informative for the viewers. It kind of depends on what sort of video I'm making. Check out these other videos for examples of traveling cheap all around the world: th-cam.com/video/Wi3JpZAnRj4/w-d-xo.html
When I go to Croatia that’s where I want to go. To the mom and pop places. I’m just waiting for a traveler to make a video traveling away from the tourist zones
Croatia is very expensive for being eastern europe, but it is because it has been CROWDED TO THE BRIM with tourists for the last years. If you go to neighboring countries you will pay about 1/5 of the prices in this video.
The main reason I havent visited Croatia yet is just the absolutely unreasonable pricing, I mean yes the water is clear and stuff but I just wont pay prices like in St Tropez or London just because I can see clear water. Just because you were a colony of Venice ones you dont have to pretend that you are Venice..
Been to Croatia (Krk, Cres, Zagreb) only once, but - just personally - didn't like it at all. I'm a HUGHE fan of Eastern Europe (my girlfriend is Bulgarian, my daughter 50% and orthodox ;-), but Croatia, it lacks the typical Eastern European vibe you might finde in countries such as Poland, Bulgaria, Russia, the Baltic states. Zagreb has been the most-boring capital I've ever visited. It might be very nice if you just want to have nice beaches / go for a swim, though.
They're my best performing videos. It's practical information for people who are thinking about going to a place, so they know how much it's going to cost to travel there. Important if you're planning a trip!

You could've gotten čevapčići, the best ones in Split at Paulina for just 32 kunas per 10 pieces. The 95 kn price you paid is a rip-off.
Cool, next time.
Gabriel, you should go to Marjan-peninsula/little mountain, near center of the Split.
to all future travelers to Split: never buy ćevapi in a restaurant, you will always get scammed. they were never considered restaurant food in the first place in croatia before tourism explosion and they have became a classic tourist trap as restaurant owners prosper on tourist ignorance.
People should visit KONOBAs instead of resturants... Konobas have fresh food, its a matter of honor and they are famous by their wooden furniture and interior design. Very traditional old style places to eat

There is a water taxi from Split to Trogir and back. Much better option in the heat.
I've been living my whole life there and I strongly have to disagree with your conclusion. Split is cheap, you just have to stop walking into tourists traps! much better than the last video. I needed to hear you talk Lol. I've been watching your videos since 24,000 subs and now you're almost at 100000! wow congrats!
Cool, thanks. Yeah I didn't have much to say in the last one.
Load up at the bakeries. Take a few plastic baggies with you for your food and carry in your
back pack.
I am from a split. In restaurants, they robbed you well. If you went to the newer parts of the city it would go much cheaper and eat better. We native people are embarrassed by the owners of these restaurants. They give us a bad name they are - give me the money, give me the money
bar da je čoviku da nešto za pojist za te novce nego krepane čevape
its better to watch your vids than go on travel guides,, love it
Thanks.
Living history. Hello from Split riviera!
Some unsolicited advice. You should interview a few locals in your videos. This will make the videos much better. You can become the Anthony Bourdain of frugal traveling. It would be nice to hear from the locals about that region.
definitely, talk to locals, ask around, there is a lot of places to eat in Split and all of Croatia, Gabriel went to rippoff restaurants for tourists.
He is afraid of people.
Great video! We're hoping to get to Croatia this summer!
Hi, I live in Sarajevo. What a coincidence that I started watching your videos yesterday, and today or tomorrow you are coming to my city... greetings.

I'm not sure. Is burek the pastry?

Trogir is not a fishing vilage, which I believe you figure it out by your self . it is very old place, since Roman Tragurium
It is a beatiful place. I was there 3 weeks ago. Have fun

Use spit.
Shane W Why were you thinking that Split is not sophisticated? :(
I wasn't sure what I expected from that part of the world (maybe i thought it would have been more behind with the times)...I just didn't expect so much sophistication ...nice surprise!
Not gonna lie this is something beyond words
i'm going to croatia on sunday
Sweet, you'll love it.

if you have money go to dubrovnik or split.
Looks so much better than Sweden, have a nice one :)
Food looked good. I might like to go!
i like your vedios cause you tae care about the prices that's help so much
travel not only for a rich person .... thanks
Gabriel's vids are great for young travellers. My daughter is wanting to travel next year before starting university so I have recommended his videos to her
good luck Teh Goat and you are welcome
Good luck, friend. Where are you from?
i'm so far away ....i'm from algeria ...what about you ?

You have paid at least double for that lunch than at most of a places. It's not more expensive than most places along the coast, you just have to check few more restaurants, or ask... nobody asks anything since google maps become handy :D
Are you doing Yacht Week? Croatia is beautiful!
I guess not, I don't know about it.
Did you see what you were looking for @ 3:33? 😂
Ha ha. I don't think I was looking at what it looked like I was looking at, if that makes any sense.
Gabriel Traveler it does. I got a kick out of that though. Really gave me a good laugh.
Excellent.
I confess that I do it too, with a delay of 3-4 seconds, so that it is not so obviously. But sometimes I'm careless.
9:35 "well I got into an argument with my wife and she stormed off, but at least I have 2 ice cream cones to myself now..."
Are these prices similar to what you are paying in July 2020?
GREAT VIDEO !!!
I was there on holiday same place where you was :p
Haha Trogir is not a fishing village, its tourist city, smaller but often more crowded than Split.

Heii I`m Traveling to Split next week to the Ultra Europe Festival. Are you going to Ultra Europe too ?
I hadn't heard of that festival. I'm in Montenegro now, heading south to Albania. Have fun!
How much for a beer in split?
Around 20 Kuna
Great video
I was in Split last summer, this summer we are going to Dubrovnik. I thought it was really cheap ! The first place you showed on the video is not the best, we asked the locals where to eat and go for drinks and we paid very little.
And thats why you are a smart... why pay more when you can ask the locals wher to pay less(and pay more then 50% less in the end)
Id say we saved half our budget eating where the locals told us to go !
I live in Croatia!Grettings!
A lot of similarities with Italy and greece, beautiful Croatia.
At 3:25, 75 cents to use a toilet? The real Gabriel Traveler could have found a way around this!
im in Croatia this week !!! where to make money exchange with the best rate in split pleassseee
Croatia gopniks can help you in little dark alleys:)

12:05 woow the parade ;-)
My thoughts exactly.. Nice :) yum
Was Trogir worth a visit?
Yeah for sure, worth checking out for a few hours.
I love the washing hanging out drying on the medieval buildings @05:50
Practical use of beautiful buildings.
Here in the UK there would be an army of bureaucrats listing 40 reasons why it is not allowed, pfft
Hey Gabriel, I forgot to ask.
Did you notice a difference in food prices when you got out of the tourist traps in Split?
well, it s not cause it s practical but cause people live there and is only way they can do it. google "tiramoli" for more
Nice video man.......
Love craft beer.
What is your favorite?
Fat Tire amber ale, Westmalle, Eichbaum, Belikan Stout come to mind.
And you could've gotten the best čevapčići in town at Kantun Paulina for 21 kunas, or 3 dollars. :D
Yep, I need a local to show me the secret spots.
Im going !
Only place, you need to visit or "SEE" is MAKARSKA!!

Yeah but those are among most expensive places. I dont get it why you watch all the vlogers or tripadvisor if you dont use them. You could have go much cheaper in those places if you listen to advices.
In Egipt when i go to museum on Tahrir square tourists pay 100 e pounds and locals 1 egipt pound.....so...
hey, did you stay in hostel manuela? :)
Yes, I did.
love your blog, and was very happy to find the Split episode (I was there at the same time actually, pity we didn't meet) the tourist spots are expensive, but if you know where to go it is not ;)
hope you liked your stay there :)
Those cevapcici are not worth 95 kuna they are usually 20 kuna you got ripped off
It depends on where you go.
DU yes and when the tourists season ends it will be like 40 kunas
I avoid the touristy places at all costs. I don't earn the kind of money that would afford me to eat at fancy restaurants on the road. The cost of housing is usually the greatest expense, which for some of us who choose not to stay at hostels is the greatest limitation to touring. Buying food at a grocery store or finding local haunts is my preference. The food is not only better quality but less pricey.
#budgetravelgang #Notificationgang
Please go to iceland i love it....plz go again
What about the people
Man, your prices are not ok because i eat in all the places in Split and u somehow found the most expensive ones...You can easily eat in center of Riva in front of Dioklecian palace for less.
in my town cofee is 1 dollar but in dubrovnik it is 15 dollars
we have poor people but our currency is low
so they overprize on sea and they make a big money
we croatians arent able to go on vacation or sea because overprize
to people from other counteries this is cheap
Yeah that's pretty messed up.
we may look rich but our people are extremely poor
it is because of stupid politicans they have 3 500 dollar pay when we have less than 500 dollar and politicans just wanna 10 percent more pay
in this country there is no jobs
nearest pay we have is 1000 dollars
they do not know what to do just more taxing and lower pays
ps politicans in this country are extremely corrupted
there is on news something with german with us
ajde ne seri o cemu nemas pojma
B Boyka Sta je lose rekao?
Hey if you're still going to Albania, maybe try to count the American flags you see. I bet you'll lose count pretty fast.
Really? Why are there a lot of American flags? I'll be going to Albania soon.
Mostly because recent war and American intervention. They also have statue of Bill Clinton but i think is in Kosovo :D
Gabriel Traveler Apparently President Wilson supported Albanian independence after WWI, and of course American intervention in Kosovo, which has a largely Albanian population. They really love Americans.
zzaaggaa And George W Bush Street in Tirana!
Trogir is not a village but an important town 2300 yrs old.
Town, not village, true. I wasn't sure how big it was before I went there, thought it was going to be a bit smaller.
i would buy fruit and vegs at the supermarket
...While okay for well to do travelers and retirees, I feel sorry for the young people growing up there with those prices....They will not ever get out of that hole.......
Gabrielu it did sound like at 333 she said hoćeš sa tom kamerom beljit cijeli dan ili kupit nešto
Macedonia?
15 euros for cevapcici. So expensive. In Sarajevo 4-5 euros.😊
Yes, my next destination was Sarajevo. Much cheaper there.
You MUST visit Mostar and Kravice waterfall near Mostar. Amazing places...
You are still in Montenegro? Visit Skadar lake and Perast, small city near Kotor. Skadar lake is amaziiing. Budva is shithole. 😊
I did go to Mostar, didn't make it to the waterfalls. Yeah Budva is kind of crappy, but I have a private room here for cheap so it's a good spot to relax and catch up on the videos at least.
You can find ćevapčići is Split for 4 euros. But if you want to sit and eat in the center of 3th century Unesco WH palace, you're paying for the location
cevapi with ajvar for 14.50$!! What a rip off. you can have better one with 3$ in Bosnia.
You need to send Gabriel recommendations on where to eat in Sarajevo - he's traveling there next.
That's why he's in Sarajevo now, probably hehe. In Zadar, Croatia is also 3$ but you gotta find it and it's not that delicious as in the Sarajevo.
speedbird006 ...It is not rip off if are delecious
Yeah, right...
Chevapi is just minced meat with some seasoning.
Don't make a big fuss about that, they are lore or less the same all over the Balkans.
And I've tried them in Sarajevo in "Željo" (total disaster) and in some other places where chevapi are fine, but if you ever ate semi-decent chevapi enywhere, they are nothing to write home about.
thats the f cost for you... they add the price like crazy.
coffee in Zagerb: 9 kn
coffee in Dubrovnik: 80kn
You pay more and get...
Im quite surprised at the prices the internet always says how cheap Croatia is.
I am so sorry that you spent so much money on ćevapi. You should have asked 🤨
But you know for the next time 👌👍
If u didnt u need to visit dubrovnik

Gab, where would you suggest to do foreign exchange in Croatia?
I recommend bringing an ATM card, informing your bank which countries you're going to on your trip, and then withdrawing from an ATM. You always lose money exchanging currency, whereas ATMs give you a fixed, fair rate. But if you need to exchange cash then first check the current exchange rate (try xe.com), so that you know the latest rates. Then check the rates being offered at whichever exchange desks you come across. They're located in random places especially in tourist areas. If it looks crappy, wait until you find another one and see if it's better. Or you can try a bank which are usually better rates, but you might have to wait in line.
Damn you got ripped off with those cevapcici, they didn't even give you lepina (bread) with it.
Yep. Tourist prices.
yup! it looks expensive..and u always have a cold beer😜..and the weather's seems sooo hot! 😱
..and u mean u wet ur shirt and cap in the river..the blu river--the water looks sooo clean and clear..is it?!
..but the place is clean and beautiful--only sooo urban!
But why should Croatia be cheap? It's a developed 1st world country and Croatia as a whole is a beautiful product
You really find very high prices...maybe you didnt try to find good price. Never go in frist one. You can find even better food for less money....
That's much pricier than even Austria and we have nearly three times the average wage of Croatia, i guess that is a typical tourist trap there.
Are you able to go to serbia?
Why would anybody go to Serbia?
this guy really has no clue how to eat out on a budget...for some strange reason he hits up all the touristy restaurants which charge triple what the small mom and pop places charge...
Check out these other videos for examples of traveling cheap all around the world:
th-cam.com/video/Wi3JpZAnRj4/w-d-xo.html
When I go to Croatia that’s where I want to go. To the mom and pop places. I’m just waiting for a traveler to make a video traveling away from the tourist zones
TROGIR IS A CITY NOT A VILLAGE!!
Croatia is very expensive for being eastern europe, but it is because it has been CROWDED TO THE BRIM with tourists for the last years. If you go to neighboring countries you will pay about 1/5 of the prices in this video.
Its because its coast belongs to Southern Europe. You wouldnt consider those prices high in Greece, Spain or Italy, wouldnt you?
Well, the thing is... Croatia is not eastern Europe 😉
Exocet 8 you dont know shit about Croatia or its history
Gabriel only goes to the most exspensive resturants ! And you dont know shit about Croatia!
Venice is a sewer towards Croatia
Croatia is very expensive!!! Over 100 kunas for several ćevapi and vegies
Croatia is not eastern Europe and Zagreb is very vibrant capital.
Sebastian Becker So, you go for a swim in Zagreb......?
Croatia is not Eastern Europe
If you want dirt cheap and tasty food, go to Serbia or Macedonia.
Not sure about Serbia, possibly Macedonia. Currently in Montenegro, next going to Albania.
It is a shame with those prices food looks like a shit i rather go to italy
Then go to Italy. And fuck off.
All lot of muslims in Croatia
no. croatia is catholic
Odjebi
Just get your hair cut!
I did actually: th-cam.com/video/JqRjTfoenic/w-d-xo.html
come to Serbia!
These prices....
and this is budget traveling ? hahahaha
Why do you have so many videos about how expensive a place is.. That's quiet annoying :-D
They're my best performing videos. It's practical information for people who are thinking about going to a place, so they know how much it's going to cost to travel there. Important if you're planning a trip!
You have to pay to go to church ? Shit what is this world coming to !!
You have to pay to go inside some of the cathedrals for some reason, but a lot of them you don't have to pay. Not sure why the difference.
You know, churches cost money to be maintained, it doesn't fall from the sky
MrSmeker .. I do realize that but normally they take donations... but I guess now they are charging entrance like if it's an amusement park ..
I don't mind paying a donation to see a piece of a beautiful piece of medieval architecture.
It helps to keep it maintained for future generations
That one is UNESCO world heritage site, therefore they are charging entry. Not for holy mass of course, just for sightseeings
:-)
