the first time I seen Yngwie Malmsteen was September of 1985 at the Royal Oak Music theatre , then the last time I saw him was 2004 at the purple moon in Flint Michigan , Rudy sarzo was the bass player for him on that tour and George Lynch backed him up. I read a interview with Rudy sarzo and he said that Yngwie was a true pleasure to work with and a nice guy , I've been do about a hundred and fifty concerts and that was the only time I caught a pick and I got two of Yngwie 's picks from that night !

I've listened to very little of his stuff. I always thought it all kinda sounded the same. I've heard a lot of his stuff after the first album was variable but progressively better up till he started singing. He has been fantastic on guitar but admittedly it always sounded very repetitive until I really listened. He is an inspiration!
