GT1 is a long forgotten division of cars in the FIA GT. I wish this car and other GT1 cars come to Gran Turismo Sport.
With the hypercars coming to LeMans soon, GT1 might get a second wind of interest from fans and enthusiasts

I absolutely love these GT6 reviews, so many good memories from this game, it's like taking a trip down memory lane..
I really liked this car! It feels nice and smooth to drive and for a simple interior car, it's one of my favorites.
If this is the LM, they should've readjust the stats so it's now using a V8. The car is indeed an LM, the 1998 version, but it's mislabeled as having a V12.
Also, in GT4 you can get this car by winning the DTM championship.
Just like some predictions which doesn't age well,
This age perfectly, cant wait to see it in GT7!
And thankfully. It looks to be placed into group 2, not group 1 if the trailer is anything to go by 3 months out from release. So it will go against the Super GT500 cars, and any other GT1 cars that might eventually make it into the game. And not have to go against the LMP1 cars or Group C cars in group 1.
These cars also have a PP rating, which would make me think you can race cars from other classes and groups as long as their PP is within reach of each other after upgrades or tuning.
In GT4 you had to win an european championship to win this car, but it was fairly eazy, and you could get it early in the game. The sauber C9 you had to drive 15 short endurance races and 1 24 hour race to win it (unless you could beat the formula 1s with a group C car). So it had a lot of good use in GT4 because it was so obtainable!
All of a sudden I can see a car flying on the Mulsanne straight. Literally and Figuratively :)
That was the CLR, not the CLK-GTR or the CLK-LM.
I used this car a lot in Gran Turismo 4. Since it was the only decently competitive car in my garage at the time, I took on the Group C and LMPs in the GT World Championship and won (barely)
We have this car in GT7 Trailer! Can't wait to drive this in premium model than standard in GT4 to GT6.

Actually you couldn't buy the CLK-LM on GT4, it was a prize car for winning the DTM event in the European Events Hall. Which isn't that difficult, even for a kid, which I also was at the time. I remember it was the first real "beast" I got in the career mode.

I made custom BoP for these GT1 cars in GT6 and the CLK was actually not too far off from the other two GT1s if you tuned for a bit more downforce. I used the CLK more than the others because it was underused and I wanted to show it could hang with the right tune. Here was the BoP if anyone is interested:
GT1 (1997 - 1998)
AMG Mercedes CLK-LM ’98 (622 PP 570 HP 1,000 kg)
McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ’97 (618 PP 567 HP 1,025 kg)
R390 GT1 ‘98 (622 PP 565 HP 1,015 kg)
What is BoP?
The Mercedes was always my favorite of the few GT1 cars in Gran Turismo. In GT5 however the one thing I found interesting about the Mercedes was it could actually keep up with the Audi R10 round Le Mans. I always found it interesting watching two completely different specs of cars racing on an even performance basis. It’s a bit like watching the Suzuki ESCUDO Pikes Peak going up against the likes of Group C or more modern prototypes. This is what I always loved about Gran Turismo with multi-class racing. The problem the Mercedes CLK-LM has now though is exactly as you said. It doesn't really fit in with the Group C cars in terms of performance and it doesn't really have a GT1 class of it’s level to compete against and it’s very much over shadowed now, which is a shame. Of course it still has competition from the Nissan R390 GT1, the Panoz and the Mclaren. However the balance in performance between them isn’t right as the Panoz and the Mclaren are much slower cars in the series for some reason. However in Project Cars 2 they got it right by having a proper GT1 class for all these iconic cars including the Porsche 911 GT1 and the Ferrari F50 GT and apart from the Porsche being the slowest of the group for some reason, in performance is more realistic and spot on in my view. If they had the same in Gran Turismo it would fit in perfectly as I pointed out in another video.
I'd love to see on GTS, rather then the 1998 CLK LM, the 1999 CLR LM, the LITTERALLY "flying silver arrow". It had areodynamic problems - true - but damn, it was beautiful like few ones and it was really a thundering V8 missile!

HSG I have an unusual question I wanted to return to GT6. For this purpose, I bought a ps3 but I can not update from version 1.00 to 1.22 I still get an error during the update, is anyone able to help me?
