@@beverlygannon4141 😂 We were always on Alice’s Gladys’s side because she was snoopy but sweet. But with Gould, we never wanted her to be right cause she was mean!!!!!! So mean! The producers made huge casting mistakes all round once York departed. With Gould and Sargent on the show, and Aunt Clara gone, then increasingly poor scripts by the 70s, the show was doomed.
Correct. Gould’s interpretation of the character of Gladys was wrong. She played her mean, spiteful and just very annoying. I didn’t like Gould’s face. It was just wrong. Whereas with Gladys, whilst she was nosy, she had incredible plasticity of expression, a real comedienne. Gould wasn’t funny and in the role of Gladys you have to be very funny. [watching Gladys trying to find a newspaper in Tabitha’s nursery while Samantha steps out] Abner: “Gladys: what are you doing?” Gladys: “what does it look like I’m doing? I’m snooping!” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 We were always on Alice’s Gladys’s side because she was snoopy but sweet. But with Gould, we never wanted her to be right cause she was mean!!!!!! So mean! The producers made huge casting mistakes all round once York departed. With Gould and Sargent on the show, and Aunt Clara gone, then increasingly poor scripts by the 70s, the show was doomed. The show really only worked in the York 60s era. While Lizzy was the star of the show, it only worked because of York’s genius comic timing and delivery for Lizzy to play against.
What does it look like I'm doing? Im snoopin' 😅 Gladys, the worst neighbour ever 😁 Aw, seeing this lovey cast saddens me 💞 Alice Pierce must have been in a lot of pain at this point, still, she did an outstanding job.
Julius, being a stock broker, should know that insider trading is illegal. 😀 The odds of three coincidences is astronomical. So Gladys, being suspicious of Sam anyway, jumps to conclusions. So did Darrin. Abner and Sam didn't buy into it. I think in the end, i think Sam wanted to bop Darrin. 🙂 A couple of episodes later, a similar episode will be made called BABY'S FIRST PARAGRAPH. Darrin is told by Gladys that Tabitha can talk, eith the help of her grandmother, Endora. 🙂 Fans who are critical of Sam not "allowed" to be herself, just has to watch this episode, "My Baby The Tycoon", "I Confess", "Samantha's Secret Is Discovered", and others. In the latter episode, Sam's own mother-in-law blew her cover. This added an extra element to the series, the element of possible exploitation of Sam and the threat to her and the family..
More people l should be more “homely” these days and less worldly. The world would be a better place. Gladys kept an eye on everyone and the neighbourhood. These days no one cares. That’s why there are so many crimes and break-ins. In the old days, the Gladys Kravitz types called the police straight away and the police in those days came over straight away! Now the burglars and criminals would be long gone before the police can be bothered coming over.
the woman had terminal cancer and was probably in a lot of pain all while acting a really fun and sometimes very physical role...we should all be like her no matter what we look like
No one could fill Alice Pierce's shoes. Outstanding
Inoubliable
Sje was. Brilliant ❤❤🙏❤️

Loved Alice Pearce no one could ever take her place
Neighbors asking to watch the baby's bath, and mom agreeing????? 😂😂😂 NEVER!!!!
I liked Sandra Gould, but Alice Pearce was just in a class by herself with this role!!
I prefer Alice Pearce too. Sandra Gould made Gladys Kravitz mean.

Dick York & Alice Pearce had the best face expressions. Those 2 were very funny
Samantha could have zapped the doll into Tabitha's room instead of making it 'fly'. But then there'd be no episode 🧙♀️❤️‼️
We all need a little magic in our lives❤❤❤
We all need God too
We all need a lot of God in our life

How about commenting on her talent instead?

@SEC
That Gladys is clearly a bloke ! Why didn’t I see that before.
That's not nice to say things like that of a woman sick and suffering from cancer...some yt folks feel they can just mouth off.
