    Just got mine in the mail today! I bought based on your recommendation. Thanks 👍

    I'm absolutely with you, as far as the usefulness or even necessity to carry a locking plier. That's why I consider Leathermans Crunch to be the one & only multitool...

  • @kvl777

    Have the same pouch for few years. It's my toolset to go. Inside I have Leatherman Surge + Crunch, in orange pockets I have 2 x Leatherman bit sets and spare saws for Surge, in side pockets - Knipex Cobra XS and Leatherman exstenders - with ratchet and solid, and a mineral oil in 5 ml spray.

    May I recommend you the 711L micro ratchet wrench? Way better and far more functional than your Wera handle. For flashlight, get the Nitefox K3 mini and glue a magnet to its bottom with double side tape. Do the "next mode memory bug" fix (very easy with just a pencil) and thank me later.

    So like… a disassembled leatherman haha

      You could literally rip apart a Leatherman with Knipex XS pliers. There are films of big guys standing on them, locked onto a bolt halfway up a wall, and the pliers don't move, let alone break lol. Stand on the handles of a Leatherman on the ground and it will break at the handle pivots. Knipex are forged and 100x stronger than any Leatherman.

    Hey my Knipex cobra XS looks exactly like that, I used yellow heat shrink on mine.

    It's wierd I never see those universal sockets with the impressions used for edc. Sure they aren't great for heavy torque applications but for little odd jobs here and there, they are perfect. I have a couple that I throw are in multiple Tool bags for when my 9mm likes to run away.

    To all the Leatherman fanboys here, this is still more compact than a Leatherman because you need to carry around a can of WD40 with one of those too, they rust so quickly. I reckon I could literally rip apart any Leatherman with 2 pairs of Knipex Cobra XS. There are vids here on yt of big guys standing on the handle of CobraXS as they are locked onto a bolt sticking out of a wall, the pliers don't even move let alone break! Put a Leatherman on the floor with the handles open, stand on the top handle, and see what happens.

      Just once. Is there something wrong with paying attention?

  • @freethinker5225
    @freethinker5225 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just buy a leatherman and a adjustable wrench.

    • @simonh6371
      @simonh6371 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then you need to lug a can of WD40 around too though, Leathermans rust very quickly. Mine somehow rusted even in a dry heated room, in a matter of weeks.

    • @freethinker5225
      @freethinker5225 ปีที่แล้ว

      @simonh6371 had mine for 4 years and carry it on my belt almost every day. There's no rust....

  • @stratmatt73

    I can carry my Leatherman, a pen, and a flashlight and have 99% of this functionality, and about a quarter the weight/ junk to keep up with.

    • @simonh6371
      @simonh6371 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      About a quarter of the quality, longevity and strength though. Leathermans were designed by a hippy who was probably too stoned to go to the market in Amsterdam and buy pliers, for a problem which doesn't exist any more, as during the last few years high quality compact tools have emerged onto the market.

    • @stratmatt73
      @stratmatt73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@simonh6371 Yeah, nice try, but I have 2 Leatherman tools both of which are 10 years old or better, and still get used hard almost every day. They have their reputation for a reason. Shitty internet opinions nonwithstanding. But enjoy your 20 pounds of junk.

    Despite what Knipex calls them, the Knipex "pliers" is actually a wrench, since the jaws are always parallel to each other. You can't grip anything with the Knipex. Your smaller bag has the Knipex pliers.

    • @coryohanlan194
      @coryohanlan194 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re called “pliers wrench”

    • @knipsi22
      @knipsi22 ปีที่แล้ว

      Parallel jaw pliers and a wrench. You can actually grip things, they multiply force from the handles by 10. But yeah the little Cobras would be more multifunctional for edc

    This Tool Pouch by „Depring“ seems not to be sold anymore… But after some searches I found another Amazon seller called „AILOVA“ , who sells the same Tool Pouch. Sometimes it is also called „DONGKER Tool Pouch“. ‎
    But something more reliable and comparable is the Amazon Standard Identification Number or ASIN.
    Here are the ones I found:
    Olive Green: B084Q9M7FR
    Coyote Brown: B084PZMK6K
    Depending on your country, you might be lucky with the ASIN‘s from Depring:
    Black: B07S34M4T2
    Tan: B07S34DWZ8
    Army Green: B07S351QFN
