Allan Holdsworth hears horns and tries to imitate them on guitars for years, Fredrik hears Allan and tries to imitate him for years, You hear Fredrik and bring it around full circle. Well done man. Totally the sound they're going for.
This is legitimately one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard. It sounds like it belongs in some particularly sad scene in Cowboy Bebop, and I mean that as a compliment.
At the start it reminds me of the Trumpets of Jericho. The horns that signal the start of the Apocalypse. And then bro starts getting jiggy with it as the world comes to an end. Then at 1:07 it turns into some great Arabic ambience. 👌❤️
I’m starting to buy into the idea that Meshuggah takes cues from jazz. There’s a gentleman on YT that plays Meshuggah on trombone and somehow, it fits. Also, do you have an extra lung or something? Where’s all that air coming from?
It would be really awesome if you had a band or if you would record other instruments as well, like a more bass sounding brass instrument and maybe a few more. Even string instruments could work great!
Awwww thank you! I always dreamed of starting my own metal band 🥹. That dream feels contradictory towards my current love for living as a homebody in my attic 🤣
@@Mileshuggah yes that's what I mean! So we get the full effect of the solos, that sound even more amazing with a trumpet. Guess they would fit some jazzy tracks even...
This is super cool man, great job. Trumpet should be utilized in metal more often. But then a lot of modern metal is super derivative and boring and wouldn’t do it justice anyway

The most epic mexican standoff track
Literally

damn your circular breathing technique was seamless!
Thank you, Daniel! It's always tricky to find the right spot to get that nose catch breath 😂
awesome. kinda sounds a lot more psychedelic through a trumpet
I always imagined Fredrik hears the unabridged version 🤘👽 this brings it out in a different light yeah!
i have same Destroy Erase Improve t-shirt. much love. Thank you for your vision of Meshuggah solos
Genuinely blown away. Am trying to learn a woodwind instrument myself and I can’t fathom how much effort and talent you put into this
It was a labor of love for sure haha. Which instrument you learning?
@@Mileshuggah ah I was thinking of something flute-y? I’m starting small with an ocarina tho, trying to learn how to breathe properly atm
@@allmensland2106 breathing yet?
That was freaking amazing. I feel like i'm at a Heavy Metal Western xD
Congrats dude you rock!
Giddy up 🤘🏿🎺😎. Thank you!
I would kill for an upload of this without the backing track!
This is actually insane! You are a truly exceptional trumpet player!
Been waiting for this one. Nailed it. Beautiful tone too.
You were feeling that one
Absolutely incredible
Definitely one of my favorite Fred solos 🥹🤘🏿. Thank you!

It's my dream to hear this song performed by an orchestra

just exquisite and beautiful tone on this performance, it sounds so righteous and emotional!
Awwww thank you! Fred's solo always convey a specific flavor existential lament/torment.

Damn respect to your lung capacity
Beautiful!
Sickkk!!!!
OHHH YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
PERFECT.
Awesome !
Trumpet in metal is so underrated/underused. Reminds me a bit of of Kayo Dot and their predecessor maudlin of the Well.
Wow, parfait
So good!!
DUDE!

fucking amazing!!!
wtf reminds me of the solo on "Kite" by snarky puppy a lot. Also the solo on "Even Us" by snarky aswell.

Flamenco Sketches vibes.

Working on it!

I may or may not have extra lungs…. Or maybe I’m just full of a lot of hot air 🤣🤘🏿
all this fredrik type soloing is a total homage to allan holdsworth
How do u use the daw sound in the end ?i really like it and it give a great end
The filter fade out? I use Ableton's Auto Filter and automate the frequency to descend slowly filtering out high to low out at the end
@@Mileshuggah that’s exactly what I needed to know , thank you man ⚡️and good continuation, I’m awaiting for a new magical trumpet cover !🙏🏼
This is not something I knew I needed to hear

Sounds like Viking war
music.
Meshuggah’s Nordic roots showing 🤘🏿
As you said in another video I didn't start living until this song!! (yours is bleed i guess)
Three cheers for our Meshugg-awakenings 🤣🤘🏿
That actually sounds way cooler
Awwwwww you’re too kind 🥹
U should play it without the rest for us so we enjoy it fully
Oh snap, you mean acoustically without any backing track? never thought to try that with these Shuggah solos 🤔
@@Mileshuggah yes that's what I mean! So we get the full effect of the solos, that sound even more amazing with a trumpet. Guess they would fit some jazzy tracks even...
seems like hearing a crusade music

Trumpet will make its way into mainstream metal…. Mark my words 🤘🏿
beautiful!!!!
