2006 x3 3.0L. the the 2nd button 1000x and it doesn't do anything. not sure why

I tried that with my x3 and it’s not showing the oil level

You have to make sure the engine temp is in the middle (operating temp) for it to display the level. If it doesn’t then you may have a bad sensor
