I was a BK worker up to Restaurant Manager in the 1980’s-1990’s. We had that Italian Chicken Sandwich for several years after it went off menu and I was so glad people kept ordering it so I could keep eating it, too. It was the best chicken sandwich!

A restaurant chain in the 1990s called Hot N’ Now. They used to sell burgers by the “bag” 10 burgers / 4 fries for $8.99. We used to go there every day for lunch during school. It was complete trash and greasy AF... but it was great :)
@@jonchal5561 The meat was always suspect to me. There were little brown things on the patties that resembled sesame seeds, that you never saw with ground meat. To this day, I have no clue what they are. The Whoppers were still great tasting though. The rest of the Whopper tastes the same, but the patties are dry, tough, and flavorless. There's also something in them now that causes some people's stomach to get upset.

The best Wendy’s sandwich I’ve ever had was the original bacon mushroom melt. They tried to re-create it they changed the bun, the mushrooms, and the cheese sauce it was not as good as the original. I would like to see the Mc tasty come back also, in high school McDonald’s was a street away I’d run out grab two of them and some fries sit in the lunch room eating McDonald’s it great.

Does anyone remember the Dollar menu McDs mushroom swiss burger? I loved that thing. I wish it would come back like it was. The artisan mushroom swiss was good but you couldn't demolish 3 of them with a couple beers at 3am coming home from the bar.

The cheddar melt looks good. I work at McDonald’s and I’ve been working on and off there for 10 years, I have to say in 2013 or maybe 2014 they introduced a burger called the grilled onion cheddar. It had grilled onions with a piece of white cheddar cheese. I would always add things to it. I loved it. It only lasted a few years.
The Cheddar Melt has never stopped selling in Brazil, and is arguably as popular as the BigMac, maybe even more. I’m shocked it was discontinued in the US

McDLT was the bomb! I still miss it from McDonalds after roughly 30 years later the last time I had it.... It had the juiciest beef patty from McD’s unlike dried hockey puck that you see from their Quarter Pounder and had thickness, too unlike the patty that you find from Big Mac.... *sigh*
3:45 I mean you could swap out the Styrofoam with two interlocked cardboard big mac boxes and bring the McDLT back. you can just toss the cardboard into your recycling bin.

McDonalds needs to bring back the chicken fajitas. Also worked there when the cheddar burger was back for a limited time in the late 90’s, and YUM that was a fantastic burger. I miss Burger King’s original Italian chicken sandwich.
Fun fact: At my local McDonalds they had the “Big N’ Tasty” on their outdoor sign; but the T fell off the sign and they never replaced it. So the sign read for months: Big Nasty $0.99 😂 😂 😂
The Big Mac and cheeseburger will always have a place at McDonald's. As for the other stuff, it's a rotation game, with only things with a continuous broad appeal lasting. From an operational standpoint, a McDonald's can't have a large amount of items on the menu at any given time. So some stuff doesn't last, while some stuff, like the McRib, is only offered a couple times a year. As for blue cheese, I'm a bit sensitive to it. It gives me a headache, so even though it's tasty I avoid it. That Wendy's Carolina Classic Burger looks like somebody threw-up on it. No visual appeal there.
I would like to see Wendy's bring back the big rectangular beef patties they used to serve. They were bigger than the bun there was always an overhang. The burger patties used now are getting closer & closer to the burgers Wendy's used to make fun of in their commercials and to be honest are "meh" at best.
In Northern New Jersey a hamburger or hot dog with mustard, chili sauce and raw onions is normally call “all the way” but cole slaw not so much. Some French fries would be a great addition though.
The issue with the McDLT is it didn’t sell. The waste issue was secondary at the time and could have easily been resolved. The sandwich just didn’t sell. For good reason. The cheese was kept on the cold side, and the heat from the patty wasn’t sufficient to melt the cheese or blend the sandwich when assembled.
The Whopper, Big Mac and Quater pounder were huge when introduced now size of a dollar menu burger. Shows the big sellers are into greed, not customer satisfaction. I would recommend Culvers Butter Burger for a bit of old fashioned taste and size.
Carl's Jr has had some spectacular burgers that went by the wayside I remember a chili cheese Super Star burger with mustard, and another with guacamole.
My favorite discontinued burger was the Bacon Clubhouse Burger-- It had a choice of hamburger, crispy chicken patty or grilled chicken breast and had caramelized onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, white cheddar cheese and a ranch style dressing, The only thing missing was pickles.
We have everything you need to make the chili chips and cheese. I was disappointed they didn't put it on the menu when they brought back the taco salad.

In a russian McDonald's chain there was a season special burger- Fresh Italiano, the shrimp "cutlet" legendary taste. I miss it so much, the BK's whopper with shrimps doesn't compare to it.

I remember reading somewhere that the Big n Tasty was a spiritual successor of sorts to the McDLT. I remember loving the Big n Tasty as a kid.

My favorite discontinued burger was the Bacon Clubhouse Burger-- It had a choice of hamburger, crispy chicken patty or grilled chicken breast and had caramelized onions, bacon, lettuce, tomato, white cheddar cheese and a ranch style dressing, The only thing missing was pickles.
I miss the chilli chips n cheese from Wendy's, and the bullseye BBQ burgers from burger King.
We have everything you need to make the chili chips and cheese. I was disappointed they didn't put it on the menu when they brought back the taco salad.

In a russian McDonald's chain there was a season special burger- Fresh Italiano, the shrimp "cutlet" legendary taste. I miss it so much, the BK's whopper with shrimps doesn't compare to it.
The rodeo burger was good but you actually make the rodeo burger urself with an order of onion rings & a pack of bbq sauce.
I just ask for a rodeo burger and they make it the same way they used to.
In Switzerland they offer (not often enough) the McRaclette which is similar to the good old Cheddar melt.

Why does nobody remember burger kings loaded steakhouse burger. Yeah it was 2000 calories, but everyone has to die sometime.
