@@human65890 They don't "recycle" songs. That's just a hater/anti "talking point" that gets repeated mindlessly. "Boombayah" sounds nothing like "Whistle". Both of them sound nothing like "Playing With Fire". Those three songs sound nothing like "Stay" and nothing like "As If It's Your Last". And so on and so on. What is "You Never Know" recycled from? What is "Crazy Over You" recycled from? Sure, they all have sounds in them. Drums? check. Bass? check.
If you think the word "recycle" really applies to BP's songs as in "YGE always recycle songs", then most other groups don't even bother to "recycle". They just re-title the same songs.
As a MY, I'm pretty sure whatever song YG put, Blackpink will still have mega success. The members' individual fame alone could outshine any gg.
Aespa is almost 2 yrs old and compared to BP in their 2nd year, aespa is still so far away... BP was a massive emerging group at that time (esp. with ddu ddu) and their MVs could easily get 50M in a day. I hope my Aespa could get much more successful in the future 🔥

@@human65890 It just sounds like you have a case of cognitive dysfunction. They obviously do not follow the exact same structure. Yes, they do have structure...which is a good thing. Some groups recently are putting out songs that don't have enough structure, if any structure can be detected at all. (Basically unstructured noise with a beat, and you know when it starts because you hear sound and then know when it ends because the sound ends, and everything in between is quickly forgotten because there's nothing that can be remembered.)
The lyrics are as good or better than most Kpop title songs (and many of their "b-side" are even better). Of course if you're someone who is looking for profound philosophy and life guidance in pop songs, I doubt that there is much I can do to help you with that...and I doubt that any of your faves are actually as deep as you'd like to think.
The songs you mentioned also obviously do not "sound very similar". Like I said, you may have some cognitive dysfunction that should receive attention. KTL is characterized predominantly by brass instrumentation, has completely different beats and cadences and so on. PS is characterized instrumentally by a predominating piano line. The other two are also quite different in instrumentation, beats and melody lines. Of course since the performers are the same 4 people, there will be some similarity in sound, particularly vocally. That's just how it's going to work with any group, unless you replace the members with different people for each song. I could go on about how different each song is, but your comments already indicate that I am indeed just talking to a hater/anti who is straining to come up with an excuse to drag Blackpink (no matter how lame). So I doubt that there is any point in pursuing a rational dialogue with you on the subject.
Unfortunately, for being a 6 year old group blackpink looks and sounds like they haven't grown as artists at all. This is the worst part, as while other groups are improving, trying new things, changing styles, creating new interesting concepts, bp are still on the same level releasing same old girl crush singles. I don't know about others, but I'm already tired of it. Could you imagine that from the last time bp had a comeback aespa and enhypen debuted and they've already established their place in the industry, while bp were being influencers and models all this time. I'm sure that it's much more enjoyable for girls to just be influencers, but I want to stan actual artists, not models. I know that this is not girls fault, but this is what we have for now.
Madam Vocals most definitely 😂 Aespa just drops their music straight into my mind to get stuck there. This is a great comeback for them imo and the songs keeps getting better the more I hear them. Aespa are stronger than some 4th gen kpop fans make them out to be. Not sure if they're "leaders" but they're an interesting presence thanks to their concept.
At this moment 3rd gen fans are kinda used to seeing a BP comeback once a year, getting wins in shows for two months, and then disappearing in the dungeon again 😂 the whole point is remembering there is no competition in music. They competition mindset feels like it's saying people will move on to another artist if they don't get material from their faves and that's not right. It's music! You can enjoy multiple artists!
Blackpink never really disappear into a dungeon though. I'm a long-time fan of Lee Hi, going back to before she even joined YG. You could seriously talk about her going into a "dungeon". She had two 3-year hiatuses while at YG and her hiatuses were real dungeon stuff, where she wouldn't even be seen or heard from at all for an entire year and, when she was seen or heard from, it would be for a few minutes and then many more months of absolutely nothing.
Even between music releases Blackpink members are constantly doing things that count as content that fans can enjoy, including interviews, photoshoots, fashion events, v-lives, tik-toks, etc. Their last comeback actually took place over several months, starting out with HYLT, followed by IC, followed by LSG and the full album release, followed by "the Show". In addition, their songs and M/Vs are frequently hitting huge milestones and records that fans can enjoy.
People like to exaggerate the "hiatus" thing to a point where it doesn't even make sense. Just last year, BP released 4 songs if you count the solo projects of Rose and Lisa...and nobody can honestly say that they didn't have an impact.

That's why that whole Coachella media-play fiasco got out of hand. They tried to make up stories about "beating" Blackpink by being the "first" on the main stage and tried to make Blackpink's stage sound like it was located behind a dumpster or something. It all turned out to be nonsense, after people learned about the facts and details. I guess as long as BP is on top, they're the group that all the newer groups will be aiming at to "beat".
