The FBS set consists of two ballstuds. It‘s a very unique design of a dynamic acting ball stud for the suspension. TheO-ring inside the capsuled steel housing allows a movement of the actuall ball stud into every direction.
Futhermore the O-ring provides the needed damping effect.

What's the benefit handling wise of that degree of caster gain up front?

wonder how they would work on the lower wishbone ball studs in very low grip and bumpy tracks?

Lower arms shouldn't be flexible for mounting points. It would result in very strange handling.
